Surprisingly warm for the weight
I've put this Buff to the test in varied winter conditions and it really does a great job at keeping you warm without overheating. It's not much heavier than the summer weight Buffs but keeps my neck, face, head, etc. warm even skiing in the 20s. Of course you can wear it a bunch of different ways, but the best way I've found when skiing has been to pull it up over my ears and then pop on my helmet. Ears stay warm and I can pull it up and down over my face as needed. If it's still a little cold on the top of my head (#baldproblems), I switch to balaclava mode. Also works as a great lightweight hat when snowshoeing/hiking when you really get your body temp up!
Old school buff
Earlier Buffs had the same print on both sides. The new buffs have a white liner on the inside and you will see white when using it. A little thing but it looks weird to me.
Warmth w/o sweat
I purchased the ThermoNet Buff for winter use (warmth) and as a protective mask. It serves both purposes well, and does not leave me with a sweaty neck.
Soft and warm
It does what it's designed to do. Not as stretchy as a normal buff and a little thicker. The material is soft and feels nice next to skin.
Less protection for cold and wind than expected
The Buff Thermonet was advertised as being suitable for cold temps as well as providing protection against the wind. I tried it in windy 30 degree conditions and found it lacking in both respects. My original Buff did just as well in these conditions.
perfect for PNW fall winter spring
Warmer than regular buff. But not thick and restrictive like the polar buff. Perfect middle ground.
Did not receive Tenty Graphite color.
I ordered Buff Tenty Graphite, but got Surib Multi instead. The real label was overlaid incorrectly. The product itself seems thicker than the coolnet. Unlike Coolnet this does not have third party testing for UV protection, which is why it is not rated. It is meant more as a thermal fabric, according to company email. I hope it will be effective in Peru at altitude for both cold and sun shielding. I am returning this due to wrong color being sent.
Warm and comfortable
Warm and comfortable. I used the buff on my Tour du Mont Blanc MTB trip where we had one day with rain and freezing temperatures. The buff performed well, kept me warm, easy on the skin, and comfortable. Perfect for a outdoor excursion in cold weather where you want to keep your head and/or neck warm with something soft and comfortable.
Cool and Warm Weather Use
Got this primarily to help with keeping my head and ears warm during cooler hikes this winter. I was a little worried it wouldn’t keep me as warm as some of my cotton knit hats have but it has not disappointed me at all! I’ve also loved that I’ve been able to continue using it as a headband or sweatband as it’s started to warm up.
