Dog walking jacket
Love this North Face jacket. It’s a replacement for an old North Face that I’ve had for over 10 years. The sleeves seem to be a bit longer on this one on the outer shell, but with the velcro adjusters they are fine. I love that I can separate the inner liner and use as a light weight jacket and the outer layer as a rain jacket in warmer climates. I use it for mostly walking the dog, but with the bright mustard colour it makes me visible day and night.

Pretty disappointed
I've bought North Face's version of this jacket 13 or so years ago and wore it to death - snowshoeing, hiking at super high altitudes, and boarding. It. was. awesome. This year, it's really not that warm - definitely more of a mid-temperature jacket then something you could wear out for snowsports. The outer jacket is so thin - it has lots of nice design details but looks like it would rip very easily. The only positive I can say is that the inner jacket is not made of that super thin shiny material that puffers seem to be made of now - it seems like it will hold up decently. No soft lining though on the inside of the puffer by the face, and the outer jacket is a one way zipper, which makes no sense to me. As a last disappointment, this jacket, especially the outer one is ENORMOUS in the stomach area, with no way to adjust it, and very tight in the hips, to the point it rides up all the time and makes you look preggers - I do have bigger hips. I wish I could recommend but no ma'am, especially at this price point.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY BY BUYING THIS JACKET

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bottom line- DON'T buy this particular style of jacket as it is a total waste of money. I never write reviews, but I had to with this jacket- to WARN you! I have owned many North Face jackets over the years. It is the only brand I have bought over many years for myself and my family. I am a very loyal customer. This has been the worst jacket I have ever owned. The craftsmanship is not like all my other NF jackets. The jackets balls up and snags on the Velcro tabs with just normal casual wear. The jacket soaks up the water and doesn't repel the water. The inside jacket wrist snap tabs broke the first time I wore it. I am extremely disappointed with my purchase and regret buying this jacket. It was a waste of my money. North Face should stop selling it. I wish I could return it but I purchased it during the summer and didn't realize the poor quality until I wore it during winter/ski season. So I am stuck with it.

Would absolutely recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this coat! It fits true to size and is extremely warm. I wore it skiing in -5 degree weather and was warmer than a cup of coco on a cold winters day. If you're looking for a great coat, this is it folks!

Almost, but not quite

I am an avid skier, hiker, backpacker, and when I notice this coat the fall 2021, I thought it would be the perfect coat for all activities. I wanted to use the coat mainly for skiing, but like the idea that I had options. However, I did not want to pay full price. So, I watched for it to go on sale, and when my size and color went on sale, I bought it, thinking all would be great -- the options for wearing the liner or shell or both together made the purchase perfect. I was not disappointed with the color or style or the coat's functionality. What keeps this coat from being a five star coat, in my mind, is how the hip/waist powder belt is located between the outer shell and the liner, making it impossible to use when using both the liner and shell together. Otherwise, I love this coat!!!

My jacket of all trades!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this versatile jacket. I have to be in multiple weather types and this jacket is amazing for it. I love the removable liner and can wear it on its own. I am replacing my old North face that wasn't as versatile but had traveled 6 different countries multiple times. It with stood multiple snow and ice storms too. It was ready to be retired due to the zipper finally giving out. It wasn't holding up like it used to with small holes forming. This was a great replacement for my old one. I kept my old one for sentimental reasons. So far I really enjoy the quality and really like the under arm vents. The waterproofing is amazing and I can not be more happy with it!

Fits perfectly!

Stunning ski jacket! LOVE the color (Orange), and all of the pockets. Also thankful for the 3 in 1 & armpit vents for when I get hot. This jacket keeps you warm! Also versatile enough to use the insert jacket indoors or anywhere! I’m 5’5”, 150lbs & typically wear size Large Jacket & shirts. This jacket fits like it was made just for me. Plenty of breathing room, length is perfect and sleeves fit perfectly too. Buy this!!

I love this jacket!

I purchased this jacket a couple of weeks ago and absolutely love it. We've had quite a swing in weather conditions here over the last few weeks, from super cold to unseasonably warm. I've worn this jacket out hiking in light rain and snow. I've worn each layer separately and combined. It's a great jacket for whatever the weather condition. I bought the timber tan and love the color. The outer layer is great for hiking/snowshoeing with a good base layer with venting so not to overheat. The outer shell is also very soft.

Boxy shape not ideal for skiing

I purchased this in a large and returned it. I'm a size 12, 36E/34/44. Another reviewer mentioned that this has a boxy shape and I agree. I don't mind it being boxy, I don't need to be sexy while skiing, but it wasn't a big enough box. I could have worn it but it wouldn't be good for something active (the whole purpose of the coat for me) and I could only fit a base layer. It was big in the waist and fitted in the chest, arms and hips. I'm 5'5 with long arms, this had at least 2 inches more length in the sleeves than I wanted. The coat itself is a beautiful yellow color, and the textures were nice. Its not bulky. I only tried it on, so I can't speak to anything but fit and style.

Absolutely not for wet weather or snow

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was excited for this jacket but went out snowboarding today with it and got soaked. It wasn't heavy warm snow, it was light powder. Within a couple runs my shoulders started to get wet and the color of the coat got darker. The whole thing was sopping wet by lunch and I could feel the wetness through the puffy underneath. Got off the mountain 3 hours ago and the jacket is still discolored and wet.
