Listed dimensions way short
I just picked up this item today at REI Tampa. Listed specs are 45 x 35 x 20. Actual specs are 33 x 18 x 9..order # A224482836.
spectacular on sidewalks
This is a good wagon and a huge, huge improvement over a push-cart for errands. For context, I live in a big city where lots of people don't own cars. Instead, many people have narrow push-carts rated to hold 25 or 50 lbs of stuff, which get used for things like taking laundry to and from the laundromat and making larger grocery trips. I have used a push-cart for a lot of errands for most of the past ten years. This is much, much better than a push-cart. The much bigger horizontal space means it holds about 2.5x as much laundry, detergent, and backpack as my push-cart did. The much bigger wheels - four of them, two that spin freely - mean it handles smoother and goes over uneven pavement without wobbling or tipping. When I took it out of the box, one of the rear wheels was a little bit loose, and it rattled very loudly. Sixty seconds with a wrench later, and it moves almost totally silently - no more rattling or creaking! It's almost as much space as the trunk of a car, and the sturdy canvas and steel seem like it could actually move 150 lbs of stuff around without trouble. Especially with current events being what they are, I'm looking forward to taking this on big grocery trips so I don't have to go to the store or laundromat and back home as often. I have literally never let this thing touch dirt or grass or sand, so I don't know how it handles on those, but I don't care either. If you're a city-dweller looking for a push-cart replacement, especially to do laundry or haul groceries for a lot of people, I can't recommend this highly enough. The only thing about it that isn't totally perfect is that there's no lock or brake, so I've been storing it on its side (wheels perpendicular to the floor) so it doesn't roll around my apartment.
Durable Wagon
This is a durable wagon that is easy to set up and collapse. It folds flat to fit in the back of the car - the offset wheels make that possible. It can be difficult to pull through deeper sand but that is probably true of any beach wagon. The tall bars on the front and back make it easy for 2 people to pick it up and carry it over the deeper parts.
Not for the beach
The wheels are simply too narrow for this wagon to work on sand. The wagon got bogged in the sand and was useless. Returned it.
Great wagon!
We purchased this primarily for non beach use. We have loaded it down with 5 chairs, a cooler, snack bag and a miscellaneous bag. It rolled and steered easily on pavement and gravel. We also took this across a large field with tall thick grass and it pulled easier than expected. We like the larger size, it is wider and longer than most standard wagons. It also folds up super easily and is fairly compact when folded.
Excellent
I used this for camping at Payne’s Prairie near Gainesville. The camp site was a short walk away from the parking area. This wagon foot the bill. What a tight turning circle.
So disappointing
Disappointing. Picture shows kids in wagon and at beach. Kids can't sit in wagon without laying down a pad of some sort because the mesh just lays on the very uncomfortable frame, and the wheels do not work on the sand.
Great Wagon
Works best on wet sand, paved, dirt, and gravel surfaces. Deep, dry sand or mud will bog it down as these surface conditions will with with most anything aside from wide pneumatic wheels. The packability is great with the collapse and carry mode.
Did exactly what it was supposed to
I don’t agree with the review stating it didn’t work in the sand. Maybe they overloaded the cart? It worked just fine for me, and seems to be more sturdy than most other brands of beach carts at this price range.
A necessity for walk-in campsite.
Worked great for hauling camping gear from parked car to walk-in camping site. Plus every evening/morning we had to haul food supplies & cooler back to car, so no bear visits.
