Burley  Encore X Bike Trailer

This trailer is fantastic! The design is top notch and my son is so comfy in the trailer seat. We only have one son, but we have been pulling along our neighbors kids with him and a 3.5 year old and they fit so comfortably! We’re very happy with this purchase and we will be repeat Burley customers!

Absolutely best purchase to go with our e bikes. We’ve put 125 miles on the burley in 2 weeks! It has gone over asphalt, gravel, sand, grass, roots, and mountains with absolutely no issues! The children love it and don’t want to stop riding. It does get warm inside with sun coming in through the windows. Burley should make sunshades that roll down for them. We love the fact we can get into a complete downpour and the inside of the burley is completely dry. When pushed as a stroller it’s honestly one of the easiest strollers I’ve ever pushed. There’s plenty of room in the trunk to carry our little dog as well as all the toys and gear. I’m so happy with this purchase.

We have 14 month old twins, and not a single day hasn’t gone by that we haven’t used our burley. Between riding, jogging, and family walks, we are always outside. We live in the midwest, but are moving to a tropical location soon and wanted one stroller to do it all. And with this burley we have found it. We love ours, and I already know it will get lots of use! Very happy with the quality as well.

Our kiddos absolutely love this. Color is beautiful! It’s nice and light which is great for my husband. It’s so convenient that if the oldest (4yo) gets tired riding her scooter we can throw the scooter in the back and she can ride with her sister (2yo). They are a little cramped when they both have their helmets on but the seats are so comfy they usually don’t complain. The quality of this has me absolutely mind blown. I love that these are made here in Eugene. You can tell they are completely set to handle Oregon weather. I love the UV tinted sides for when it’s hot and we’ve already used the wet screen once when it started raining while we were out. We decided on the Encore X over a more expensive one because it doesn’t have the bar in the storage area (which allows the seats to individually recline). This way we have more room in the rear and our kids never seem to want to recline anyways. :)

It’s great. So much easier to push through gravel. All the little issues on my 30 year old burley have been resolved. I like the hub break. The sun shade. That I can take it out all weather. Easy to change from jogger to trailer. I do wish the seat reclined as the baby falls asleep in it. So will have to put a pillow next to him and try a neck pillow. Attaching to the hitch is much better than the old attachment. We haven’t tried the little dogs i. With the baby, but I think that will work. We will put a dog bed in the storage area for them. How the screen cover closed with the straps and “D” rings is so much easier than the snaps.

Pros: Great ride! We use it a lot as stroller to walk around the neighborhood. The handling is great, and it takes little effort. The tint is a nice touch. I could go on about the amazing performance. My 2.8 year old twin girls are super comfortable in the trailer and it has a lot of ventilation which is great for TX heat! They even fall asleep sometimes, its so comfortable! Cons: 2 of the elastics tore when we were putting it together for the first time. When we go over curbs etc...while walking the adjustable handle bar will pop and move out of its place, like it cannot handle the weight of the trailer.

We love our Burly! I was so excited of just the concept of it (stroller AND bike trailer) and it is living up to my hype. At this point we haven’t even hooked it up to a bike and it’s solely been used as a stroller but with how much the kids love it and it’s easy use, I know our first ride will be just as great as our first walk. The safety and quality are in the design and the materials. I can’t stop telling people about it!

I'm car-free, and until recently I took groceries home in a couple of duffel bags. Now I'm trying to shop far less frequently, but hauling 100 pounds of groceries slung over my shoulders wouldn't work. The Encore X proved to be a near-perfect solution. Even though much of the 3/4 mile from the store to home is uphill and the sidewalks and alley are in rough shape, I had no trouble pushing a full stroller almost to my front door. I could have gotten it closer, but the locking system for the handlebar isn't sturdy enough to let me pull the stroller up the last couple of steps to my front door. This quibble aside, I absolutely love it, and I look forward to shopping this way from now on.

Obsessed would be an understatement!!! This thing is beautiful, roomy, and extremely functional! I love putting my son in this for anything! The ease of use is top of the line and I could not be any happier with my purchase. I can’t wait to have my second baby to utilize both seats in the trailer!!! The trailer to stroller capability is so awesome.

Build quality is amazing. Kid already loves it and we haven't even taken it outside yet. He just loves to climb in it to hang out and push it around the house. Wish the top cover could come off or have something to secure it rolled up and open. But small details compared to the overall design being solid.
