Designed to fit on most vehicles with roof racks. The general rule of thumb is to make sure that your rack has a Dynamic Weight Capacity of at least the weight of the tent. This is the weight that the rack can physically carry while the vehicle is in motion. However, you should check your manufacturer's roof rack system to ensure it will support the weight of the tent.

Defective Manufacturing

I purchased the Thule Tepui Hybox from REI when it was on sale during the 2020 4th of July week for $2,499. After installation, we spent 4 days camping in it and really enjoyed the design and functionality. For two adults and a dog, it is a bit tight, but we adapted. No starfish legs in this tent though. On the 3rd day into our first trip with the tent, the fabric that is attached to the roof shell began to come unglued and droop into the tent. Major bummer, and unacceptable at this price point. I tried pressing it back into place, but there seemed to be no adhesion left on the panel for the fabric to stick to. It became worse on the 4th day, and after getting back from our trip, back to the store it went. REI was perfect in every way with a hassle-free return, and they were aware that the fabric/glue issue was well documented by others who were having the same issues. I cannot recommend this tent obviously based on this manufacturing defect, which appears to be quite common. I’m investing in a different tent from a different manufacturer. Take my advice and do not purchase this tent until Thule fixes the defects! Thanks again to REI for being so great to work with!

Best tent ever

I bought this for my ford focus, it didn't fit. Then put it on another car and it fit. I use it to sleep with my cat during our camping trips. I think she likes it more than me. Great for cats!
