Trouble Free for 1 Year and Counting

I’ve owned these for just a little over a year to date. It’s been mostly trouble free, and reports power data within 2-3% of the only other power meter/device I own, and that’s the Saris H2/H3 Smart Trainer. Occasionally, it takes 2-3 tries to get it to sync with the Garmin Edge head unit I have it paired with, but it has never failed to pair and self calibrate. Regarding the “loose” cleats, the Shimano SPD SL yellow cleats do have more float (lateral), than when used on Shimano pedals, but the blue and red cleats work fine, you just have to crank up a few more clicks on the tension. I’ve replaced the twice, so that’s about a 6 month life to them, but you can use the more common size found at any store—just have to buy 2 of them instead of the less common thick battery that came with the unit.

Not Truly Compatible With Shimano SPD-SL Cleats

Would not recommend this product. Is not truly compatible with SPD-SL cleats as advertised. The cleat is noticeably looser in the Garmin pedals vs the Shimano brand pedals. The only advise Garmin support could give me was to try different cleats, which is unacceptable since the video clearly shows excessive float.

great product

So glad to add these to the bike so I can track power real time during a ride and compare perceived exertion with actual power production. For what it’s worth these pedals are meant for Keo LOOK cleats and anyone using with Shimano cleats will be disappointed in fit
