Garmin  Rally RS210 and XC210 Dual-Sensing Power Meter Pedals Bundle

Love the pedals, this is my 3rd set. First was the original Vector 3's. My next set, Rally 200's was stolen along with my bicycle. These new ones are rechargeable! Wow! 90 hours of usage on a full charge. I'm going to love that! And no screwy door to remove and replace when changing batteries. But I must say that it took over 2 hours to get these new pedals working. AI helped, but it kept giving me old Rally pedal suggestions that didn't exist with the 210's. Eventually, I did every thing it said and held my mouth right and they connected right up to my Garmin 1050. Thank goodness.

The pedals are good and well built. However, there’s a problem with the reset and configuration of them. I can only do it with my phone which I paired them when I firstly installed them. When I switched phone recently, I can’t paired them with my new phone. I ended up using my old phone for factory reset so I can pair them with my new phone. I don’t understand the reason behind, what one can do if their phones are broken or stolen. I think there should be a way to reset the pedals without a phone

These pedals gave me problems setting them up from the start. The manual is basically 2 pages, the online instructions and troubleshooting are minimal. Garmin only shares basic information and almost zero troubleshooting. I could not get the pedals to connect to my phone initially, then they did?? I was then able to update the firmware. Afterwards, after several tries, I apparently got them connected to my Garmin 530 but they would not calibrate, and they never displayed power on the screen - all blanks. I tried everything including contacting Garmin Support. They had me try the usual things and eventually submitted my case to Engineering. I checked in every few days and at about 3 weeks, the support tech told me to try using an open connection as opposed to the default secure connection. This solved the problem. My Edge 530 is approximately 5 years old and does not support the secure connection. I wish Garmin shared this more readily. I have had lots of Garmin devices over the years and am a big supporter but these pedals are very frustrating. Now that I have them working, they are great. The data and analysis exceed my expectations. The pedals are 5 star, the support was disappointing to say the least.
