Great for the BWCA
This thing is light light light, you don't even notice the weight of the paddle while canoeing, amazing. We had high winds and waves our first day, and this paddle helped with my stamina a ton. It flexes a little during heavy paddling, but I never felt like it was going to break. I wouldn't recommend this for white water at all, but lake travel it is golden. I strapped it to the canoe during portages, never even felt the difference. I would wear grippy gloves, the shaft gets a bit slick if it gets wet at all.
