Some of the best straps that can be found
I use these to strap down everything from our Dometic 75L fridge inside our Land Cruiser, to the many things that end up on the roof rack during camping and back country exploring trips. Most notably, they are great for strapping down notoriously difficult loads like bundles of firewood on the roof rack. We have never had a failure or encountered any slipping of the cam lock over thousands of miles of travel, even when on rough corrugated dirt roads and challenging rough high clearance 4wd trails. I won't use any other type of strap at this point and consider them well worth the price.
What's up with these straps???
I bought a 4 pack of these straps to tie my two 75 pound Hobie yaks to my Thule rack. They slip like mad, not only on a rough road to the lake but on a smooth highway ride of just 10 miles. Total garbage. I have some cheap Chinese straps that work great, put them on, retighten in 5 miles and they were tight all the way from Salem, Oregon to Lake Mead, Nevada. The NRS straps are too stretchy and the buckles don't hold. Avoid!
