This camping loveseat is amazing! We do a lot of car camping, glam-ping if you will, and while we might not go as far as packing the kitchen sink, we like to be comfortable. This double loveseat has wide, comfortably padded seats without an arm rest in between so you can snuggle in close by the campfire after the kiddos go to sleep. Even if you've got a kiddo in your lap, this thing is rated to 550lbs, so no worries about things breaking on you. Or, if you decide to kick the kid and the husband out, you can nicely stretch right out (I'm 5'6 for scale). Its got nice wide feet on the bottom of each leg for stability on uneven or soft ground. Each of you gets your own cup holder for whatever beverage you prefer (may I suggest a nice porter) and there's even storage nets in the back for stashing your phone, keys, or 'smores fixings. For as big (and comfortable) as this loveseat is unfolded, it packs up pretty nicely. I put one of our old camping chairs in the pictures. Even folded up, its nearly the same size as this double, which is a win in my book when you're playing Tetris to fit all your stuff for a week in the woods in the car. I can see lots of use for this chair in our future. Camping. The beach. Movies in the park. Bring on summer!!
Ordered this to use at youth sports events and in the backyard and everyone loves it. You can sit together or one person can stretch out. Packs up neatly and weighs about the same as 2 individual camp chairs
The Mountain Summit Gear Loveseat is my new favorite camp chair, and I'm not just saying that. It is truly comfortable, durable, wide enough for two people/dogs, and overall a delight to sit in. The cup holders are deep and sturdy. On the back of each chair is a nice pouch to place the seat cover or other items in. I've sat in this several times at cookouts and parks with my girlfriend and dog, and you can hardly tell the other person is there. It is truly a comfortable chair, and our dog Koda approves!
While not as comfortable as some single chairs, this loveseat was excellent as a chair for two — or one person and two dogs.
Bought this for use as a camp chair, tailgating chair, backyard chair, etc and can’t say enough about how great it is for my partner and I. We’re both taller than average (I’m 6-ft for me and 5’7” for her) so the camp chair height is perfect for us. It’s definitely a camp chair: the Cordura fabric is durable but not super breathable, so it’s a little sweaty on hot days plus the back of the chair hits a little high. But this is definitely a great chair to leave in the back of the Subaru and put to use on every occasion.
This purchase was hands down one of the best ones we've made for our campsite yet. The loveseat itself is very comfortable and sturdy. The pockets behind the seats are handy to store those random things always laying around like extra camp blankets, hats or a jacket. The best feature of course is being able to sit close to the person sharing the loveseat with you! The loveseat is not as heavy as expected and didn't take up much more room storage versus a single camp chair.
I was really excited about this product and, honestly, I do think it is a good product with a good design. But I can't give it a 5-star review because the foot broke on our first camping trip out with it. Before we noticed (actually, even AFTER we noticed), it was perfectly comfortable and we really loved the snuggle by the fire. However, on our third day out or so, I noticed that one of the rivets holding one of the legs to the plastic feet had either fallen out and completely disappeared...or wasn't there to begin with. Weight on the chair would have likely bent the leg over extended use and made it unusable. That said, I stand by the positive comments that this is a comfortable loveseat with great features...so hopefully you won't get a dud like we did.
Picked this up at an REI during our summer long RV trip through various National Parks and while it felt like a splurge it was so worth it. True love seat for two and can fit our toddler on there with us as well. Perfect for sunsets by the lakeside or campfire where getting cozy with another is ideal. A little heavy but expected for a love seat. Collapses easily and tucks back into its carrier easily enough. Would recommend.
I've owned this for about a month and have used it several times for car camping, and most days around the house/driveway/garage. This is a large, heavy duty love seat that does what it's supposed to do. It's comfort is comparable to other folding chairs of this style, and holds me, my wife, and my two kids (total 450 lbs) with no issues. It is on the heavy side - not sure if it's heavier than two individual chairs, but it seems very durable. Overall, it's a solid purchase if you think that you need a love seat, but we'd probably prefer the versatility of individual chairs if given the choice. My only improvement would be to include a carabiner to keep it closed instead of providing a stuff sack, as it's hard to get it into the large bag and it's not really necessary.
This a very well designed chair the back is high enough to lean back with good support of your back and head. Nice height. We tried the Kelty version. Don’t waste your money on the Kelty version. Very comfortable. Keep a small foot stool nearby and you’ll be napping quickly. Weight is not too bad. It packs up nice tin it’s own bag. This loveseat is made well and is sturdy. I bought one for my daughter too.
