Surprisingly compact, decent amount of power
Odin

I was smaller than I was expecting, which was a good thing. It's initial charge took only a few hours (120VAC 60Hz), and it was able to charge my phone from its built-in USB ports about 10x before the battery was reporting being around 50% - inline with Goal Zero's official reporting on battery capacity. Note, Goal Zero recommends that you leave this unit plugged into a power source when not in use, and leaving the unit without power for a long period of time will result in the termination of your warranty form Goal Zero. Also, something to note about modified sine wave transformers (the 2-prong AC output from this unit) is that most things like laptop chargers do not 'like' modified sine waves. I am an electrical engineer, I would never plug my laptop's AC adapter into this to charge my laptop unless I was really desperate (due to concerns about battery health of said laptop). If you have a laptop with a USB-C charger, it should be fine, but if you have one with a 'traditional', more powerful hookup, I would go for a model with a true sine wave transformer. If you're looking for something to function as a battery backup for a cabin, or dispense electricity during the night after charging on solar all day, look for one of Goal Zero's higher-end units. If you're looking for something to charge up USB devices, or power LED camp lights, this is perfect for you.

A Three-Hundred Dollar Paperweight

Simply stated, the unit I received is one-hundred percent non-functional. Per the instructions, I attempted to charge the unit with the wall charger; however, the charge indicator/display failed to turn on. Even after 24 hours on the charger, all of the output ports were dead. The unit never showed any sign of life. Needless to say, this is getting returned. Unfortunately, under REI's current return policy, I now get to pay the postage to send it back. I am greatly disappointed with both Goal Zero and REI.

Yes for Air Mattress!

We needed a campable power bank that could inflate our Never Flat queen air mattress since it doesn’t have a manual inflation option. And the Yeti 200x did the trick! I tested it out, and after inflating and deflating it, the power bank went from 100% to 96% — fantastic! I also tested out how long it takes to charge my phone. In exactly 2 hours, my iPhone 11 went from a charge of 8% to 99%, which used 8% of Yeti 200x’s reserves. That means we’d get 12 charges from the full Yeti. The unit’s fan came on during the air mattress inflation, but not during the phone charging. This will do the trick for us, from car camping weekends to emergencies at home.

Fantastic compact battery power!

I bought this knowing how poorly rated it was online, but it was on sale and my fiancé and I really needed it. We use it to run our Geyser heated shower, charge my laptop while I’m working, and charge our phones overnight. These things are important because we actually live in our car. Honestly, this product has been fantastic. We’ve used it consistently since we bought it a month ago and haven’t had any problems. It runs our shower extremely efficiently, the pump only uses up about 5% during a shower and or washing dishes with multiple refills. We have been very pleased with this battery and I highly recommend it.

A must have for technomads

I purchased this portable battery together with a 50 watts solar panel. I can recharge the 187Wh in about 6-7 hours of direct sun exposure. One full battery cycle (187Wh) allows me to recharge my work computer (lenovo thinkpad x1 carbon 20qd) about 3 times, plus a few more iphone charges (I use it as an internet hotspot). This combo allows me to stay in the woods for prolonged periods of time and work from there for 7-8 days without any major problems, other than running out of food :D The battery and the panel are kind of light, so it is even feasible to backpack with them if the rest of your gear is ultralight. I have done this in Yosemite, all the way up to the Half Dome campground. I have not had any problems with the ports, fan or any other component, but if you have, just replace it!

Excellent build quality and functional

I have owned a Yeti 1000 for a year and a half. I use it to power my refrigerator during power outages. Knowing the quality of Goal Zero I wanted to purchase and try the new 200X for a car camping trip to power my ResMed AirMini CPAP machine and to power my instant hot water heater. So after using it to power the water pump and the CPAP I had 51% power left. Enough power for two full days before I had to recharge the unit. I brought a Yamaha 2000 with me so charging was not an issue. One thing that GZ states is that using a 45W USB C charger will charge the unit from dead to full in two hours. I tested that myself and it charged the unit from dead in 3.6 hours.

Versatile, lightweight and portable

I purchased my Yeti 200x when it was first released and it has been my workhorse for portable power ever since. I keep it in my home office to charge all of my regular electronics on a daily basis, but it is always ready to go outside for camping and travel. Most importantly, I have it ready to work on cars or shop work, providing lighting and portable power. Combine the 200x with a Dremel tool and you have an awesome setup that you can take anywhere. The low battery protection has saved me twice from draining to an unsafe level after hours of heavy use. I have charged the 200x using the power supply, the Yeti 12 volt car charging cable, Nomad 20 panel, and Boulder 50 and 100

Great Product

I bought this model because the 150 version was not in stock. I'm glad i did. The front access is easy to use and find in the dark. The whole setup is surprisingly lightweight but still feels rugged and durable. I use it to power a mobile amateur radio and recharge handheld radios. The battery is able to handle the demand without any real problems. The only negatives I have foud are...The rear power input seems loose and when the cooling fan first starts up, It's abnormally loud. Also the unrelated DC output, under the 12V socket, is in an awkward position. If there were more accessories available for this port I could see the purpose, but as of now, can't find a practical use for it.

Great addition to my Yeti collection.

I purchased the Yeti 200 early in the year and didn’t start to use it until the beginning of May. I typically charge it via my Goal Zero solar panels, but charged it via AC as well after reading negative reviews noting charging failures. I’ve never had any difficulties. When it first arrived, I was somewhat skeptical as it was so tiny and light. I own lithium Yeti 400s, a Yeti 150, multiple Yeti 400s and a lithium Yeti 1000. This and the Yeti 1000 are my favorites. The light weight, small size, easy portability and features contribute to it being a delight for me to use almost daily.

A nice small but effective Goal Zero alternative

Attention CPAP Users! This summer I wrote in an answer to a question: This past summer, based on my positive experience with my Yeti 400 Lithium, I purchased the 200x from REI to try it (it's quite noticeably lighter and smaller than the Yeti 400 lithium). Much to my very pleasant surprise, I can get nearly three nights of CPAP use with the humidity level set to 0. If I had a DC cable I would drain the Yeti 200x slower and might get even more run time. Since I wrote that, I have used it with an AirSense 10. If you set the humidity level at zero (0), you can eke out just shy of two nights with this unit. Withe humidity set to one (1), I almost made it to one full night. I had no idea how much "juice" the humidity option can use up.

Great until it wasn’t.

Booth this unit three months ago for a multi-state road trip. While it was sitting at home it worked perfectly as it never moved. The second I put it to use and stick it in my car, the fan began making a loud horrible noise, it died randomly (cane back to life once I found out), and one of the outputs stoped working for a few minutes. It eventually figured itself out through it all and is still alive and powering my fridge. I will for sure attempt to get it repaired/replaced and continue to use it. It’s very light weight, it can power my fridge over night, it charges cellphones very fast, and the ability to charge it via a wall outlet, car, and solar are essential when out traveling.

great for basecamp

I bought the yeti 200x to use with my 2 nomad 28 solar panels, and have been very impressed so far. I had been holding out on purchasing a power station for a while, because I wanted one with an MPPT charge controller, and until now only the larger goal zero power stations used one. I am able to use my 2 nomad 28s chained together to charge up this little battery pretty darn quickly! I have never had to charge it up from empty, but I have topped it off from 80% in just 2 hours or so. It is great to use in a tent for lighting and charging up phones or other batteries. I also use the goal zero fan tool to cool off the tent. This unit is small, and relatively light weight. I wouldn't take it hiking, but it is very easy to move around. It is perfect for car camping. If you only intend to use it for a weekend trip, you may not even need solar panels.
