Perfect tent!
We have used this on the beach multiple times now. It takes about 5 minutes to set up and since it is so low to the ground, it doesn't blow away. We can fit two beach chairs in this for my husband and I to be completely shaded. 3 kids fit great sitting in their little chairs too. It goes back in the case easily and is lightweight and small to carry. It does fit on the side of the Veer wagon, but I would buy this even if I didn't have the Veer. We haven't had any issues with getting hot inside, it's still pretty breezy even with the shade cover on.

The tent is perfect for little ones. My son and his buddy (age 4) are watching a movie inside on a large iPad with room to spare… ordering another for my 7 year old.
Flame retardants
We purchased this product and it seemed to check all the boxes. Sun shade, screen protection from bugs, and well-made unlike other popular pop up screen tents. We were so disappointed to learn from the manufacturer that the Basecamp uses flame retardants, particularly after REI initially assured me that they didn’t. REI has promised to work with partner brands to follow updated performance standards in order to eliminate flame retardants. https://www.rei.com/blog/news/rei-pursuing-new-testing-method-to-eliminate-flame-retardants. They also shared that products are tested to insure compliance. This was obviously not the case. Disappointed with Veer for using flame retardants— especially in children’s products and disappointed with REI for falling short on their promises.
Bigger than expected, easy setup
This ended up being much taller than I expected. I'm 5'7" and I can easily climb in, turn around and sit down. It's also very easy to setup and collapse with clear instructions. I was able to setup and put back in its original bag on the first try.
So easy to use!
Great for containing a small toddler while setting up camp! We've used this with kids ages 6 months through 2 years so far. Crazy easy to set up, we even brought it to the BWCA to keep mosquitoes at bay for the little one while we got tents up etc.
This is a perfect size for my two boys to hang out
This is a perfect size for my two boys to hang out in the backyard or the park when there is no shade. Easy to set up and pack away as well. Would recommend as a gift for an outdoorsy family.
