Nice shorts, runs tight
Overall I like these shorts, but some critiques, these run small, I'd recommend going a size up, the material is not stretchy so being a little on the small side you really notice it because the fabric doesn't have any give. the zipper pocket is too small to fit a cell phone. This would be a deal breaker for me but there is a pocket on the opposite side that seems to be dedicated to a phone, no zipper, but it seems secure the way they designed the pocket. It has a small lip above the pocket so I think even if you turn these pants upside down the phone won't fall out. Also, and I found this to be an odd choice, there is no fly on these, there's a hole, just no zipper. I guess to really feel the breeze. I'm a little concerned if the button pops free that these are going to fall completely off immediately without the zipper. I like the integrated belt/straps, overall I think they're comfortable.
Fox quality is diminishing
My older Fox MTB gear used to be bulletproof. Unfortunately the last few items I’ve purchased just haven’t lived up to the same quality. The materials on the outer shorts could definitely be stretchier. The button constantly unpops on these shorts even though they are falling off the hips when I stand up. The spandex undershorts have a fairly basic pad which has stitching to make it look more anatomical then it actually is. Even worse, the waist band separated from the shorts after less then a dozen rides.
