Not for mountain biking
A bit bulky and pricey. I wanted something where I could be sure I was on the right trails for a month long competition. Pulling a phone out of my hydration pack or pocket wasn’t working. In less than two weeks the knob that locks the holder broke — just from repeated use. No biggie. The bands had enough elastic to keep the phone in place. Then, after a very minor crash, the rest broke off. If there is any chance your riding might involve the slightest hard usage, then this is not for you. Too many weak links of plastic.
it was perfect… it just doesn’t last
If the materials were stronger, this would be ideal. I loved this. It is the best bike phone mount I’ve ever had, and the stem cap mount is brilliant. Then the securing tab broke off within three days. I returned it and got a new one. Good to go right? Wrong. The bolt has pulled straight through the plastic stem cap mount I thought was so good. This has been nothing but a disappointment, and now I’m looking for a replacement again. Don’t waste your time or money.
broke 2nd use
Like others said, holds the phone great & seems like it’ll be a great product but the plastic housing broke on 2nd ride after installation.
Breaks easily.
Good thing it has a lifetime guarantee. I’ve gone through 6 of them in about 2 years. They have been good is sending me new ones. Rubber strap for attaching to handle bar breaks easily. Hard plastic of holder itself has broken a number of times.
Doesn't hold up
I have purchased 4 of these, in part because I wanted to have one on each of my bikes. However, of the 4, three broke fairly soon after I started using them. In all three cases, the plastic connection of the locking mechanism to the base of the holder has broken off rendering the lock inoperable. I default to using a rubber band to keep my phone on the holder. In my correspondence with Delta, they indicate that I should not use this holder for off road use. The units broke when I had them mounted to my road bike!
Dont buy this
This is trash. The engineering is badly designed. After installing it became apparent that the nut / screw which holds the mountain to the holder can not screw into the holder because there is no steel liner to the plastic insert. Engineering - 1.1
Very versatile!
This is my second one. Easy to install & works great!
Too noisy
While it is easy to attach and easy to insert my phone into the holder, and appeared to hold my phone securely, this holder rattles to such an extent as to be a distraction during what should be an enjoyable ride. Would not recommend this product.
Caveat Emptor: this does not fit an iPhone 8+
Having just spent an hour installing on my bike, with very limited diagrams, and foolishly without trying my iPhone in the device, my bad, my phone doesn’t fit with or without a case.
Easy install
This mount works perfect for me and was very easy to install. It’s sturdy and doesn’t bounce around. I used the stem mount option. I’m going to buy one for my other bike.
