Works pretty dang well

One of my regular routes takes me over cobblestone roads wherein I'm bouncing all over the place like I'm going to Roubaix or something. This had held on to my phone in those conditions. Just make sure you have it synched down nice and tight. If I lose this one, I'd definitely replace it with the same thing.

A good idea, but the execution is flawed

The Nite Ize Wraptor is an excellent idea - a rotating, easily clamped center and elastic straps to hold a phone by the corners when riding. Unfortunately, I've found that it doesn't work as advertised. The elastic straps simply won't hold a phone in adequately (the phone in question is an iPhone 6s Plus, a large phone). The straps clamp around the corners fine, but when riding, even small bumps have caused the phone to fall out of the straps. Fortunately, I have not broken the screen yet, but I've stopped using the product. For the record, this is ridden on road only, and relatively smooth roads. I'm disappointed. Eventually there'll be a solution that works, but this isn't it.

Low Reviews? Take a picture. You’re probably mount

I don’t know what people are talking about. This holds great! I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max and it never falls off. Protip. Put it on your handlebar stem. It keeps it stable even when you go for a jump. I can’t find this on Amazon so I’m ordering another one for my son’s bike. If it won’t fit your stem, wrap it around the handlebar close to the stem. Your phone should overlap the stem cap a bit. This is good enough to keep it steady.

Don’t Trust It

I had the same experience as the other reviewer. The top piece, which secures the phone, come completely off of the base after only a few weeks. Fortunately, my phone wasn’t in the mount at the time. But, even if I could find the top piece, I could never trust this mount again.

Does not hold up to normal use.

Worked like a charm, but as the entire design depends on the integrity of a single rubber strap, I kept a wary eye on that strap. Within three weeks of normal use, with the bike usually garaged during the night, and not out and about every day, the strap showed steady deterioration at its junction with the buckle. Finally, it was eroded away nearly fifty percent and I could take it no longer. Exchanged it for a better(I hope) design that looks a little less attractive and less minimalistic; but maybe one that will hold up and protect my expensive phone! Wish I’d taken a photo.

Unreliable

I've had this mount for over a year now. It works fine if you are riding smooth road. On any bumpy terrain you run the risk of your phone popping out of the flimsy corner bands. I have worked around this by wrapping rubber bands around the phone and the mount, which then reduces the usable area of the screen. It's also a bit fussy to insert the phone into the mount. The band that holds the mount to the bike also becomes brittle over time and I'm worried the entire thing will just break off soon. I also have a Nite Ize HandleBand mount, which is far simpler and more secure to use. The pro the Wraptor has over that mount is 100% usable screen, whereas the HandleBand eats up 1/3 of your screen.

Great at first, but didn't last

Love this thing and it worked great for a year. Bought one for each bike and then both broke about the same time. I removed them to switched to different bikes and noticed both straps were cracked and ready to break. I'm glad I found out this way versus watching expensive smart phones crashing to the ground.

Works for some phones, not mine !!!

I got this product based on the manufacturer's claim that it could fit any phone. I had a Pixel 4 XL and had even seen reviews on here that a device of that size would fit. Unfortunately after only three rides (of less than an hour each!) the mount snapped, sending my phone flying into traffic. It was shattered back and front. REI refunded me when I came in but I'm reluctant to trust Nite Ize's claims in the future. I think they need to specify more clearly the parameters of phone size that work with this product. I had to buy a new cell phone because of this! I'm reluctant to trust them in the future. The larger iPhones or Androids are best kept in a different style of mount than this :/

Fell off on the second ride. RIP iPhone.

Literally fell off the bar on the second ride into oncoming traffic, and my smartphone, still attached to the Wraptor, was immediately ran over by a car. Don't buy unless you can afford AppleCare incident fees. Returning this to REI and never buying anything from Nite Ize again.

Needs better clamping

I bought this to hold my Samsung J7. Does a nice job of holding the phone. However, if will not stay on the handlebars when hitting bumps. the small barb that is supposed to hold the strap in place is too short to do the job properly. I was riding and hit a bump. The phone came unstrapped from the bars and the phone fell hitting the ground. Plan on returning the product and keep searching for an adequate device to hold my phone. It is too big to fit in my jersey pockets comfortably.
