Soft and snoozable

I had an inflatable bladder I’d used on an airplane before, wrapped in my jacket. It was clumsy. I also had some memory foam from a mattress topper I wasn’t using any longer. When I saw this Rumpl stuffable pillow, I thought I’d try the two together, zipped up inside. It worked on a round trip flight across the US. I found the need to slowly zip it shut though because the zipper seemed ready to tear or get stuck. It’s not the highest quality zipper for my taste. Other than that, it was great. The flannel cover was super smooth on my face, and it rolled up well in my backpack. I recommend it for travelers planning to snooze on a flight.

Downgrade of previously excellent model

What a disappointment. The previous pillow model had one side with a soft fleece nap (Rumpl incorrectly referred-to as "moleskin"). They now replaced it with a wooly fleece that is uncomfortable against one's face. As a side-sleeper, that's a deal-breaker. Why the downgrade?

Stuffed

This thing is great. I've been looking for something I could use in an emergency so I stuffed a t-shirt, socks boxers, fleece Columbia jacket/convertible pants a couple other items into it. It is small & tight & I have yet to sleep on it but I am very pleased so far! Stays in vehicle or bug out bag in plastic bag until I use it. Multi purpose, Thanks 4 making it! One note to Rumpl, Can you make a bigger one? Just asking, Thanks John

New design is a downgrade

I bought this pillow (the most recent design) of for camping after being impressed by my girlfriend's older, quilted, moleskin fleece version. The new design is larger, making it more difficult to stuff comfortably with a puffy jacket, does not have soft moleskin fleece and is not as soft, and is generally poorer quality for the same price. I'm disappointed and will be returning it.

Great for saving space!

I love my Rumpl pillow! I got it as a gift and I liked it so much that I bought a second one. I used to use my spare clothes as pillows when camping, now I can do that but with a comfy cover that keeps everything in place. When not in use it is small, light and compact. My only complaint is that I wish there was an option for a bigger size, this one is a little on the small side.

my go to

I use this for backpacking. It’s got a nice soft outer fabric and when I’m not using it to sleep it keeps my extra layers all in one place while hiking. I don’t think it’s as comfy as a real pillow, but it’s the best I’ve found for backpacking so far.

Versatile and Cozy

After a last minute notification from a lodge for an upcoming trip notified us that we would need to bring our own bedding, we looked for a pillow option that would pack down small (we were flying) and still ensure that I didn't spend an entire trip working out neck kinks. This RUMPL stuff able pillowcase fit the bill! When empty, it packs best completely flat - take up virtually zero room. At the beginning of the trip, I used my puffy jacket and a travel towel to stuff it to the perfect consistency (not too soft, not too firm). As the trip went on, I used the case for all of my dirty clothes - kept them separate from the rest of the things in my pack - so added bonus! I washed it when we returned home and hung to try - zero issues with the wash. Really liked the soft fleece-y side - nice and cozy! I'm a huge RUMPL fan (I have many blankets, scarf, towels, etc.) and I scored again with this option - thanks for another great product.

Perfect for Rumpl x Betabrand Wrap!

I have a Rumpl obsession that my family and friends are well aware of. That being said, my friend noticed that the Rumpl x Betabrand wrap that I ALWAYS wear on my front porch or by the fire pit, that it did not come with a stuff sack or straps. So she bought me the Stuffable Pillowcase as a gift, and it’s PERFECT for my wrap. The wrap is difficult to hang on a hanger (it slides), and it doesn’t look as luxury as a Sherpa Puffy all folded up on the couch. This is the perfect solution! Rumpl products always FTW! (P.S. - I wish there was a way to upload photos with our reviews!)

Thanks for all the love, Caitlin! That is a perfect idea! What a thoughtful and clever friend you have! You should be able to upload a photo with your review. Feel free to email a screenshot of what you see to info@rumpl.com and we can help you out.

"Cardiff/Black" color is all black—not multicolor

I haven't used this yet (I'll use it on a multi-day backpacking trip next week), but the quality seems good, as with other Rumpl products I own. The main reason I'm writing this review now, though, is because the color of the CARDIFF/BLACK shown on the website isn't what you'll receive: I got an all-black pillowcase rather than the gold-ish/black shown in pictures. And the packing slip didn't say "CARDIFF/BLACK", but rather just "BLACK", so REI needs to update this product's info on the website and align it to what they actually ship. I contacted REI before posting this review and they said I could return it but didn't say anything about whether the CARDIFF/BLACK was actually available. I'm guessing not, since it's not on Rumpl's website.

Comfy and warm

Really comfortable when stuffed with a lofty down jacket. Not as much with just clothing. I used this in the winter and it kept my head warm. Packs into itself.
