color is different! great jacket

Dark Clay color is definitely khaki, not the off-white if the picture. I like how it looks but was surprised. Jacket does stretch but it’s not as much as I thought. I do like how decreases the constricting effect of some rain shells. Seams are fully taped and the hood is easily adjustable. Nothing special, but with out vents I think it’s everything you need and nothing you don’t. The pit zips are oriented in which a way that you forget they are there. Some other jackets create a bump where the zipper folds over itself; not this jacket! Being able to stuff into its own pocket is nice for packability.

Amazing Jacket for an amazing price!

I am simply blown away by this shell. As someone who has exclusively owed Arctyrex shells and other jackets, this is definitely a competitor. The price for the quality is impressive, the Stormline shell should be sold for a higher price than what is listed. It’s incredibly light weight, stretchy, leaves room to layer, and stylish. The only thing this jacket doesn’t do is your taxes. As someone who spends countless hours outside subjected to Mother Nature’s fury, this shell will hold up, yet you won’t be feeling like you’re trapped in a ziplock bag at the same time. If you’re considering this jacket, it’s an easy answer. YES!!

Ripped on my first moderate climbing outing

I've been really impressed with other BD gear but this jacket isn't going to cut it for me. In my opinion it is far far too delicate to be marketed towards climbers. First outing it got ripped up on a pretty relaxed multi with maybe a couple light brush ups with the rock. I have owned other lightweight shells from OR/Arcteryx that have stood up to 3-5 seasons of climbing use before ripping and wearing out so pretty disappointed. That said, they are super stylish and it worked great for around town and hiking. Maybe my one star is harsh as I really do believe this could be a great product if it were marketed differently... but then I wouldn't have wasted my money on it.

Well-designed rain shell

BD.Dry layers have an impressive blend of low weight, waterproofing and breathability. They seem to approach softshell breathability, rainshell protection & hardshell durability wihout suffering from ordinary tradeoffs. That blend of performance makes them a compelling option in a wide range of conditions. The Stormline has a fit that's trim enough to hike and run in, making it a go-to summer layer when the sky is threatening. It's not much larger than an alpine start hoody when packed & can fit in a running pack. Durability has been good so far, absorbing light bushwhacking duties without complaint.

Truly tested

I am a refuse worker who is also a outdoor enthusiast. I am constantly using trail gear on the garbage truck because of its breathability and durability. I purchased one of my these jackets last fall and it held up well for the price point. I wore it as my shell through the winter as well, I live in the upper Midwest, and with a thermal base layer and a hooded sweatshirt it withstood most day. Yes, in February I added more layers but still used this jacket as my shell. I understand I am not summiting , but I am cruising down the road at 25+ with spray coming of the tires. I love this product and am planning on purchasing another since it did rip eventually, but nothing last forever.

Casual + Hiking

I bought this rain shell to fight an uptick of storms that have been hitting Colorado recently for casual and hiking wear. It's performed wonderfully each time I've had it with me while I'm out in both situations. It fits into the right pocket to stow away and comes out to roughly 7 in x 9 in in this form, perfect to take up minimal space in my pack. The fit runs slim; my measurements are 33 1/2 sleeve, 36 chest and the Small fits with enough mobility and room to feel comfortable, but tight enough to where I don't feel like anything will flare up like on my old North Face. I have enough room to fit a light pullover underneath, but don't expect to be wearing any more layers than that.

Not Stretchy

This was exactly what I needed; a super light weight shell to throw in the pack in case I needed a barier jacket while I was out. Works perfectly for an unexpected rain storm or as a wind barrier to keep warm. But I’m not sure why it’s call “Stretch Rain Shell” because it doesn’t seem very stretchy. I am 6’2” and got a large size which was plenty roomy for me. I can fit a layer under it for extra warmth. And the blue color is more like electric blue. It’s actually really nice, but not subdued if you’re looking for something less noticeable.

Excellent Jacket for WInd and Water

I purchased the Men's Stormline Stretch, size Medium in Raging Sea. The color was very much like the pictures: a forest green but with a lighter hue. I am 6 ft. tall, 165 lbs. and the jacket fits great. Sleeves are a little long for me, as the cuffs are almost over my hands. I noticed that the material is smooth and does not make a rustling or crinkling sound. The back is long, which could be good for snow sports (no snow down your back). I really like the sealed zipper, you can tell it is of a nice quality and keeps the water out. Speaking of water, when there is precipitation, water droplets bead and then run off the jacket. This makes it easy to shake water off of it, when hanging it up. The jacket is breathable but windproof, which is nice since I live by the coast.

Great Jacket!

I got this jacket for camping, but I’ve used it around town also. It beads water well, and is more breathable than I thought it might’ve been which is a plus! Love it, and recommend it to anyone looking for lightweight rain gear.

The best designed rain shell

I am 5’8 and athletic built I was confused on the sizing to see if I should get the S or M, glad I went with medium otherwise I would have had to return it. The shoulders fit well with enough space for layering and without restricting motion. The pit vents are amazing as after all it’s all about moisture venting when it comes to layering. Definitely glad and the neon color is good to have enough visibility to be easily spotted. Quality material and quality construction.
