Pain to store, amazing to cook with!
This thing is BIG and HEAVY. Know that first. Storage may be an issue. But once you're cooking in it, all is well. Alton Brown says the only single-use product in your kitchen should be the fire extinguisher. Multi-use equipment is best. I've seared steaks on the grill, made pancakes on the griddle, and fried some cheese balls in the pan. I haven't yet made pizza but that's just because I prefer deep dish in the cast iron skillet. All of this has been on the gas stovetop so far. We'll be camping again in the spring and I'm already collecting recipes I can use with this Cook-It-All. The handles make it easy to move around.

The one tool to do it all.

This thing is fantastic. We took it with us car camping this past July 4th and cooked multiple meals with it. Grilled steak on grill/lid while browning potatoes in the dutch oven bottom, made perfect pancakes on the griddle/lid, cooked bacon on the griddle/lid, and finally made chili mac. I love that you can use the pieces separately or together to create an oven environment and that it fits all together so you don't have to pack too many things. I do recommend getting the fire stand too, for zonal cooking and also to spread things out since the campfire grill was pretty tight. Overall this thing is fantastic for car camping or basecamp since it's pretty heavy.

Of course, it's HEAVY -- it's IS cast iron!

Used to have a Lodge "4-in-1" & used it all the time 'till somebody dropped it on a rock & cracked it. That's about the only way to hurt cast iron -- that & thermal shock -- throwing a HOT pot in cold water -- don't do that! This "cook-it-all" will do more than the old 4-in-1. Oh -- that stand they show in the pics? It's a couple "pages" further in the inline catalog. It's about the size of a #10 dutch oven, so 20 briquets , 7 on the bottom & 13 on top, dutch oven style will give right at 350 in side with the oven configuration. No, definitely NOT a back packing utensil, but can't beat it in base camp

Worth it!

I came to buy a regular doctor oven and ended up buying this instead. I was worried it was gimmicky but on our first camping trip used it in every possible configuration. We had amazing pizza, chili, strawberry rhubarb crisp, pancakes. It cleaned up so easily and allowed us great flexibility. We never even took out the other pots and pans we had packed. Highly recommend. For a bit more $ you get a ton more function!

Awesome

I've only used it a handful of times so far, but I love using it. I've been using a larger cast iron pan as a griddle of sorts to make tortillas and man.. Life will never be the same after using the griddle that comes with this. We've also tried using the dutch oven and once of the recipes that came in the provided booklet. I found it turned out well and clean up wasn't that bad. Of course this thing is heavy so keep that in mind. It bent the grill on my table top grill, but it was cheap anyways.

Car Campers You Need This.

Ok car campers this Dutch Oven has it all. Just when you think there is nothing new under the sun, Lodge comes up with this great piece of cooking gear. It's a wok, a pizza oven, a griddle and a Dutch Oven. This product has it all. Thanks lodge for thinking outside the box.

Fun for camp cooking and baking!

Finally got to use the Cook It All on our October camping trip in Utah. My favorite meal was making chili - all the way from sautéing the onions, browning the meat, simmering, and then adding cornbread to bake on the top. Using the included handles worked great for when we had to remove the lid or move the pot around in the coals. I wish I had this many years ago, but am exciting for more delicious camp meals now that I have it.

All you need for camp kitchen!

This pot really is a cook all. We seasoned it ourselves before we went out and had no problems with food sticking. Over a long weekend we used each of the pieces in a few combinations. It’s definitely not something you’d take back packing, but for car camping or maybe base camp, it’s great.

worth every penny!

We bought this over Memorial Day weekend with points and waited until the fall to use it. We just went car camping in the Catskills and we’re able to use for every meal for 3 days. It’s very versatile. Yes it’s heavy but it’s cast iron and for car camping it’s perfect… we also bought the lodge stand from Amazon because REI didn’t have it. (That we have mixed reviews) the unit really does better on the stand. The first day we made bacon but it was a disaster we had the fire ranging and you really don’t need much heat. The remaining day we burned kindling size pieces down and used the stand on the side and kept the cook it all closers to the coals. This thing is amazing we were able to cook up potatos in 10 min. Sautéed peppers, pork chops grilled chicken and even did scrambled eggs. We barely used our tried and true propane stove. I highly recommend this unit. The stand isn’t perfect but I think a requirement . Fire gloves are a necessity.. we can’t wait to experiment using this for other things. We will definitely be bringing this guy on our next trip

Great item from Lodge

I really like the dual purpose of this cook set. You can have some breakfast hash going on the inside while still making eggs or pancakes on the lid. I can't wait to try some pizza on it, if I can perfect that my kids will beg me to go camping!
