Easy to be with blanket

I love this blanket because it’s warm; the fabric is tough but soft, but is not slippery like most nylon covered bags or jackets. It doesn’t slide away, and doesn’t feel so cold to the touch. The color (doesn’t show the dirt) is very modern, not boring, but not psycho-colored- great for guy or girl; nice size, not too big or too small. It’s washable too.

Not quite what I was looking for

I didn't like this blanket and ultimately returned it. It's big enough and rolls up pretty nicely. Unfortunately, it has the slick, sleeping-bag nylon on both sides, so it slips around and doesn't have a soft, blanket-style feel or warmth. I was also hoping it would be a little more rugged like something you could spread out on the ground and not worry about it getting dirty or a snag.

Some faulty spots

There was a rip where the tag was and another spot that had extra fabric and stuffing. I would have replaced it to try a new one but it didn’t pack down as small as I thought it would and was a little heavier than expected. But for those car camping who want a warm blanket I’m sure it would be good.

Warm blanket

I wore fleece pants, thin wool sweater, beanie, scarf and wool socks. Slept in a small 7 X 4.5 ft tent. The blanket was toasty. More than comfortable in mid 40's temps. Got a little too warm for me at one point and I usually sleep cold. If it wasn't raining, I would have been fine sleeping outside my tent with the blanket and my foam mattress. Performance wise - it delivers. Durability has yet to be tested as this was the first time I've used it. I would recommend taking a little bit of time handling this blanket with more attention and care than usual. Probably could have taken it to mid - high 30's inside my small tent.

Smaller than they’re supposed to be.

I ordered two of these for warm weather camping where a sleeping bag would be too warm. Unfortunately the size is smaller than what’s listed. In my case both were 72-73” long instead of the 80” listed. At 77” tall I ordered this one because it was supposed to be longer. Otherwise these seem nice enough. I’m not blown away by the quality, but I’m not disappointed either. I still haven’t decided to return them or not due to the size.

Yes! love it

I sleep in a mummy bag and always end up popping out my arms and shoulders and freezing in the tent. I used this and it was awesome- sooo warm and changed my sleep! Big enough to use as a full blanket or snuggle into. It didn’t slide as much as I thought it would, and it’s fairly tough- my dog slept in the tent and his nails didn’t tear it or rip it. It’s cozy and I’ve used it on the couch a few times, too, but it gets very warm quickly. I can tell it will be perfect for hot summer camping when I don’t use a sleeping bag but need something to take the chill off.

absolutely amazing

most other blankets at REI or other stores top out at 60 inches or 70 inches at the most for usually $100 or more...this one is 80 inches...a size that'll actually cover you for around $50 on sale and it's way way better than those expensive ones too. it's soft...oh so fluffy...and yes very warm. it can feel a little slippery but it still feels very sturdy and resistant to tears. I bought one for myself and my wife ended up taking it...I'm getting a second one :)

Great for car camping!

Purchased two of these blankets for car camping (lows around 55F) and decided to leave the sleeping bags at home -- these blankets did a nice job and were really warm (sleeping pad with R-value = 7, single layer of clothes). Only negatives -- 1) chemical smell so you'll definitely need to air it out for a couple of days, 2) the stuff sack is pretty thin compared to other stuff sacks and I can absolutely see me pulling too hard and puncturing it with a finger).

Warm, well-made blanket for home or camping.

After purchasing our first blanket for camping, we tried it out on our bed at home. We immediately decided that this blanket was well worth the price, and ordered three more for all of our beds. We've been very pleased with the extra warmth provided by the addition of this blanket, both at campsites and at home. It's a quality item at a reasonable price.

Bigger than a pillow when stuffed

I can't even speak to the quality because the stuffed dimensions are MASSIVE and it's not even worth unstuffing it. This is as big as a pillow when in the stuff sack. The stuffed dimensions should be included on the product page - FYI they are 16" long x 9.25" deep. About 4x as big as my stuffed sleeping bag. Fine for car camping but no possible way to take this backpacking.
