Rediculously small
I’m a big fan of Fox products. Bought these knee guards hoping to get another great product. Got them in the mail and was surprised to see how small they look. Sure enough they didn’t fit. Not even close! L size was ordered. As I already have other Fox guards of L size and they fit great I was sure these will fit me also. I’m wearing them as elbow guards while I’m typing this. No way I can put them on my legs... The product looks good quality, nice touch and materials. But order 2 sizes bigger than you expect. It almost looks too bad to be true. They look like youth size! Maybe I’ve got mislabeled items...
Great protection / comfort balance
These are probably slight overkill for XC / light Trail riding, but comfy enough to manage it. Will be perfect for steeper days and bike park days and at 50% off its a no brainer ! I'm a big fan of the velcro strap on both sides, I feel like the knee sleeves without it, if you don't get the sizing just right , they don't stay up or cut off circulation.
Quality issues
Purchased them for my son. They do run small so they were perfect for him. Comfortable enough on climbs. The protective 'shell/armor' broke in two parts after 6 weeks in one pad, 2 weeks later in the second, no falls, just regular pedaling. Contacted Fox 2 weeks ago, still waiting to hear from them. Even after getting them half price this is a disappointing experience.
Protection all around
Went for a snow ride, so bound to fall. These knee pads make it safe and secure hitting the trails, protection all around. Also, look like they’ll keep that knee look for a while.
Good if they stay up...but they slip
Perhaps these are for short rides...just down hill. I've been riding trails and they keep slipping down below my knee.
