Don’t even wear them much and had hole worn in.
Don’t even wear them much and after 6 months a big hole had worn through in crotch.
Loved these at first....then
I bought 3 pairs of these to wear on a hiking trip in October, and for everyday use. At first, I thought these were the best pair of briefs I had ever owned. They were comfortable, breathable, and they fitted perfectly. I actually considered disposing of all my other pairs of underwear and buying another 5 pairs of these. However, after one months use (each pair were worn 1-2 days a week and washed according to the guidelines) the crotch section on 1 pair had started to wear thin, with holes appearing in the fabric. One side of the crotch has has broken from the seam. In addition, fabric piling is becoming more evident on all pairs. Furthermore, the elasticity of the fabric around the legs loosens completely after an hour of use. They look like a pair of baggy boxer shorts that are well past their used by date.

Comfortable but not durable
The boxer briefs are comfortable but the bottom mesh liner fell apart within a year and a half of light wear.
Flimsy
I’m devoted to smartwool because the odor fighting qualities allow me to use one pair on multi day hikes without becoming foul. The undercarriage of these boxer briefs are of a lighter material than the rest of the boxer briefs. They are completely torn away after fewer than about 30 days of combined use. Bought in July 2020 and had to trash them in January 2021. It’s a problem specific to this style, as I have smartwool socks, long Johns etc. that have lasted me years of use without this problem.
Plenty comfortable to me
They are not as smooth as silk. However, they're plenty smooth enough compared to cotton. If you want something smoother, you could always go with spandex. The lack of a fly doesn't bother me. For a few extra bucks, you can get the "with fly" version. Wool is ideal for multi-day hikes and couch surfing. Little to no odor or dampness after several days of continuous use. I've had mine for about a year, and I've taken it on 5 or 6 camping trips with Scouts. I see no wear and tear. I wash on cold with air-only tumble dry. Do not bleach. Do not use fabric softener. Best to put all your merino wool together and use Woolite gentle cleaner. Prevents chafing on long hikes. Won't soak through.
Solid undies
Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Smartwool hasn’t let me down yet.
Regular Boxer Briefs are Better
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have two pairs of these boxer briefs and one pair of the regular (not Sport) ones. I would definitely recommend the regular boxer briefs over these. Like some of the reviews here, these Sport ones wore thin pretty quickly and one pair developed a hole less than 60 days after purchase. The regular ones have a higher wool content, and I'm not sure if that's what has made it more durable or not. The looseness on these also cause them to bunch up a lot more than the regular ones. Summary: Smartwool boxers are a great idea, but go for the regular ones, not the Sport ones. #SmartwoolLove
Super comfortable
Fit well, stay in place, waist band is great. Best underwear I’ve ever purchased
Comfortable but not resilient
Very comfortable but both pair wore out by end of April.
It's best I found so far
I tried different brands and so far this is the best I found. I feels like a quality product. They do ride up my legs but I don't mind that much. I wish there was a long edition or something though. My biggest complaint is there's not enough material in the back. It's just enough to be ok. I have a bubble butt and if I start bending I can feel them pulling down. You got to add a bit more room in the back and under I suppose. It's ok if you just walk straight and sit on a chair. Not so comfortable if you move around a lot and bend down. I used to buy Duluth merino briefs and they had perfect fit but not as high quality. They seem to have stopped making theirs now this brand is the only one that got close to a good fit.
