Love the reservoir but not the pack
I love the reservoir and the flexible tube. I also love the way the tube and magnet allow easy access to the bite valve. Great design there. However, I don't like the fit of the pack - it's a bit too high on the neck and too wide across the shoulders. I also don't like the material on the straps and I don't like the interior materials - the pockets feel a bit industrial and I am looking for something with a nicer feel. I also decided I wanted more than one main storage pocket, so I'll be going with a different pack. It's a shame this one didn't work out because in terms of hydration this one is my favorite.
Too small for MTB stuff
I thought that the pack was really comfortable but the size of the bag was deceiving. Once you fill the bladder with the 2.5 liters of water you have very little space in the bag for your stuff. With the water, 27.5+ tube, multi tool, CO2 device, maybe a pump, sandwich/banana it was really a stretch. I ended up putting my extra layer in the outside pocket. Even if I was doing a short ride near home this still wouldn't work for me. Magnetic clip is not perfect because it isn't super strong, but I still think the magnetic attachment is an upgrade from a Camelbak. Returned this for a larger Osprey pack.
Find something better
I got this pack to replace an old Osprey pack with a messed up zipper. I was hoping they had upgraded the packs to make them more comfortable, but that's not the case. The shoulder straps are rough on bare shoulders, which sucks for me because I ride in tank tops. The storage area is set up in a way that's hard to figure out where I want to put my things. Thr area where you can store a jacket or something you might take off during a ride would be a good thing, except that you have to undo the clips to open the main pouch, and then the whole pouch falls down and whatever is in the extra packable area falls out. The worst part is the magnet and bite valve set up. The magnet is fixed in a position on the left arm piece and it makes the bite valve have to sit right on your arm, which causes it to fall off and hang at times if you move your arm in certain ways. Not only when moving your arm. The magnet is super weak, so it's hard to put the bite valve on right anyway. This pack looks great, but I didn't enjoy using it at all. Would not recommend.
Perfect daily rider pack
This pack holds all of my essentials like tools and spare tube and has space for extras like fuel, keys, phone, compact rain jacket, etc. Love the waterproof zipper pouch to keep my items sweat and mud free. The pack is also very easy to clean with a little under sink rinse or a soak in laundry soap and rinse. The hydration pack has also been great and is a good size for moderate length daily rides (~4 hours). I've had the pack for about 2 years and it still looks and functions like new! Overall this is a great pack for those looking for a mid-size bike pack.
Amazing hydration pack!
Loved this hydration pack, needed a small backpack for hiking and camping and this worked perfectly. Love the color, amount of space and how lightweight it is. It is adjustable and very comfy to run and walk in. Can't wait to take this with me on short day or two hikes!
Purchased specifically for mtn biking.
I do not like the set up of this pack. The chest strap is difficult to remove as the magnet is so strong. This is a new design from the previous clip and I like the clip better as it's easier to remove. I do not like where the contents of the pack are supposed to go. When you unzip the pack, all contents go on the flap side. So when you unzip it and you have lots of stuff in the zippered pockets, (like I do), the whole flap drops open. I would prefer to have the zippered pockets on the hydration side so this doesn't happen. Many may not be bothered by this, but I am and would not purchase this type of pack again. It does offer much more space than my previous '3' so I am happy about that. I needed just a bit of extra space for a jacket on the colder days. I have most of my larger gear inside my downtube, so it is not taking up space in my pack. The color options stink too. Nothing is ever bright enough for me. I am riding in the woods and need to be seen. The subdued colors are too dark in my opinion. Overall, it's ok and I own it now so, I'll continue to use it.
Nice comfortable pack but horrible hydration bag
The first time I took this out the reservoir leaked a little. At first I thought it was user error but then the next few times I took it on a hike it leaked so much the bag and my back were soaked. Sadly had to throw away the bladder. Also our delicious well water tasted like old plastic in this, no matter how much I cleaned it, and it was only used 3 times.. Between the leaking and the horrible taste unfortunately I don’t think I would get another Osprey hydration bladder to use.
Great pack but ruins my clothes
This pack is the perfect size and so functional. Only problem is the waist belt has badly snagged the 2 shirts I have worn while wearing the pack. Sadly, after searching for the perfect pack, I'll have to return it.
