Just spent some weeks with this set camping in the arctic, where you don't wash dishes and instead lick them "clean"/use paper tissue to wipe out your cup and bowl (it's always below freezing so there's no bacteria growth and water is precious). The polished surfaces clean off so much better than the non-polished parts (and other brands with no polished surfaces) that it was easier to lick/wipe clean. Holding them is comfortable, and they can bend if you're rough with them but it's no big deal bending them back. I like these over other Ti cutlery sets that I've owned or used/borrowed/pilfered.

Ok but bends and scratches easily.

Ok but bends and scratches easily. I'm not sure if this is 100% titanium given how easily it bends. It would be nice if REI had a way to verify what the percentage of titanium is.

Small and lightweight

I bought this set a long time ago but haven't had the chance to put a review. Now that I was able to use it often here are my thoughts. Pro: -lightweight -compact -nice material and feel of the product Cons: -Not sure how these other reviews says it doesnt bend but it does, where you hold the utensils, normal pressure will definitely start bending at the handles, the spoon, knife and fork part of the utensile is solid however. For something that is called out for titanium and price point I am extremely disappointed, definitely not worth it. I honestly think a plastic set would be much better. - the carabiner clip is not solid either, sometimes it will move to the side and unlock. - the coating at the handle will rub off eventually.

The TOAKS titanium cutlery is the BEST!

What a find! Especially for the money. I was so pleased I ordered 8 sets which is now my home flatware. My husband made a little rack with three pegs which I set by the sink and serves as a place to drain and store the cutlery. Please be aware the knife is in the butter knife category, not steak knife or paring knife. I’ve used these for years, now ordering a spare set to carry in my purse or head to the beach. These are light weight durable, comfortable to use, handy to store and carry! TEN Titanium Stars!

does exactly what it’s suppose to

Dishwasher safe (tested multiple times), lightweight. Ignore the reviews that clearly abused the product and thought they were getting a heavy duty set. This is for camping/outdoor use. We use them mainly because we eat outside with friends and keep these sets with other outdoor cooking and eating stuff. Pricey? Sure, but you won’t get this quality with dishwasher safe and easy if storage and transport. If these aren’t your priorities, move on, but if they are you will be quite happy as most reviews indicate.

Fantastic value for titanium utensils.

We purchased this for use in our Motorhome. We wanted something we could just leave in it and not have to worry about any changes to the material with the wide temperature swings and possible sweating causing staining to the material. So far so good. Almost too light, but we did want something lighter as weight adds up quick in our small RV. These would be awesome for backpacking if you like having separate utensils instead of the typical "spork," and I think the complete set may actually be lighter than the one piece composite material 'Sporks' of another brand we use for that purpose. I don't have a small scale to confirm that, but it sure feels that way. Another plus is the wife likes the looks of them too, kinda sporty looking like lightweight race car or biking parts appearance.

Excellent Cutlery

I've owned these for about 3 years. The polished eating side of the utensils makes for extremely easy cleaning even after forgetting to clean them shortly after. Knife has remained quite sharp after all this time and easily cuts through steak and chicken.

Great, versatile set

As backpackers, we've used single utencil plastic sporknives forever, but they are just truly a pain to eat with and we wanted an upgrade. I wanted something that would be substantial enough to handle more complicated, meat based car camping meals, but also be light enough to use backpacking. These fit the bill and have been working great so far. We haven't taken them backpacking and they're a bit heavier than our usual solution, but I suspect it will be worth the ounces when we do.

A pleasure to use.

These are surprisingly elegant tools for mealtime. Be forewarned that they bend easily, but you can just bend them back without kinks or damage.

Solid, light, and comfortable

Very happy with these utensils. The fork is, well, a fork. The spoon is actually great even as a soup spoon. The knife works well as a butter knife and ok cutting most things. It isn't a steak knife replacement, but the serrations help. I wouldn't say these are the greatest utensils I've ever used, but they are still very good and I'd recommend them.
