Worked great
I had 3-4 fingernail cuts in my triathlon wetsuit (didn’t realize this neoprene is so temperamental compared to my surfing wetsuit which I’ve had for almost 10 yrs w/o any issues). Reviews for this glue online were great so I tried it out. Worked as intended & after several swims while training the cuts remain sealed. Very pleased. The only recommendation I have (besides using your fingertips to put on a tri wetsuit & keep your nails trimmed lower) is when applying the glue use a paper clip — not the brush that comes w/the glue. I saw someone did this on YouTube & it applied MUCH cleaner than when I tried the brush.
Must have gear repair item
This stuff works wonderfully! I had a REI sleeping pad that is super comfortable (I'm a side sleeper) but it developed a rather large leak in the middle of a seam where the "waffle" pattern came down to meet the other layer of it, if that makes sense. Mixed the seal + curant and spread liberally over leak and about 1/2" in all directions and let cure about 4 hours(directions state 12 hours for a full cure). I like to push the envelope so I inflated it and gave it a try, and then placed two 40 lb bags on it and walked away for 30 minutes. NO LEAKS. Highly recommend. This is going in the gear box that goes every where I go.
Seam sealing drysuit
I used the Aquaseal FD to seal seams on a mature O'Neill waterskiing hybrid drysuit. Application with a small brush was effective and simple. The material cures into a flexible seal. I would highly recommend buying extra short bristle brushes at the paint store for application.
This product sticks to it.
Aquaseal is a long standing go to product when you need to stop leaks in almost anything. I use it to patch drysuits, tent fabric, ground cloths, and even a leaky fold up kayak. You simply can't find a better product.
I love this stuff
A pair of my cycling bibs that I absolutely love have glued seams, and one of them came apart. I read the reviews on this handy seal and thought I would give it a shoot. I carefully glued the seam back together let it cure overnight and a few days later took it out for a test drive and it work amazingly well. I love it......
Sealed multiple holes in my waders
Aquaseal and Cure Accelerater saved me from having to buy a whole new pair of waders. I had multiple holes on the backside of varying sizes. This stuff, along with their patches, were easy to apply and it didn’t take that long to dry.
As advertised
My thermarest has seen multiple patches and they have always held, so I was hesitant to spend more on aquaseal. The only issue I've had is my thermarest kits gardening up between uses, this stuff is built to last and has all the benefits. It dried quickly on a rounded edge of my pad and has held strong. It goes on clear and is easy to apply. Wish it came in a smaller bottle for backpacking, but the smaller patch kits work well.
A great sealant!
A great product to repair our inflatable kayaks! Also good for repairing thongs (flip flops), and water shoes! I’m sure we will find other uses as well!
Great product
I used this on an old Timberline tent that had taped seams which were peeling off. First I used the Aquaseal to “glue” the tape back on where it had separated. It made a good bond but was difficult to get under all the separated sections. On another seam I simply pulled all the old tape off and coated the seam just like you would with ordinary seam sealer. I let it dry for several days and it looked great and was much simpler to apply. The problem which I discovered later was that the sealer really stuck to itself so I had to be really careful to fold the tent in a way the seam wouldn’t touch itself. Time will tell if this problem persists. Overall, I have every confidence that water will not penetrate either approach.
Works on nordic ski boots, too!
I've used this stuff twice to keep my old Nordic ski boots going. It takes several days to apply if you have a large tear to fix, but then it should be bomb-proof. I applied it, let it dry, applied more, let it dry, etc.
