Rei size chart not accurate
These seem great, but REI’s size chart online says that the large fits shoes size 11-13. The label on the packaging (which I didn’t see until I got the shoe covers delivered) clearly says that large fits sizes 9-10.5. So they don’t fit. And now REI appears to be sold out of them.
Website errors cost consumers
I ordered a large because the website indicated that this size fit 11-13 shoe size, but the product box clearly shows that it only fits 9 to 10.5. I have to pay to return the product and there's no option to have the larger size sent. I lost my 20% spring discount in the process. Very frustrating.
actually waterproof.
These shoe covers are actually waterproof. They’re good for riding in the rain, not just when the streets are wet. I previously had PI Amfib lite, and they were for the latter. I live in California, where winters are not cold, but they can be rainy. I commute to work by bike, and I highly recommend these. They’re also useful to keep out the wind when it’s under 40*F in the morning. Buy them for those conditions. They’re probably useful for snow, too, if you have wool socks, but I haven’t tested them in it. Now the stuff that’s not ideal: I do not love the velcro closure. It’s not easy to get the fit tight and right, unlike a zip closure. Also, REI, in their inimitable wisdom, changed the sizing from Gore’s website. Gore’s XL is for 45-47, but REI lists that as L, 45-47. I ordered XL and received a product marked XXL that didn’t fit. Of course they took care of me on that, but why was it an issue in the first place?
Loose Fit
I purchased a size Large to fit over my 12 1/2 size mtb cycling shoe. These were very loose-fitting. It is impossible to tighten the overshoe as only a single piece of velcro connects the back. They would benefit from a more adjustable closure. I cannot comment on their waterproof rating because I didn't get to use them, but my other GoreWear has performed well.
Dry/warm feet
These work perfectly for what I need. I wear this over my shoes while showshoe running. They keep my feet dry and warm. I'm very happy with them.
Fit and keeps my shoes dry.
These shoe covers really keep my shoes dry and easily cover all types of boots and shoes.
Nice fit
These covers work well for the most part. I get a little seepage around the clip opening. Very comfortable
