Great for small people
I own three of these. Different colors so family now which one is theirs. The design really is not "one size fits all". Family ranges from 4'10 to 5'7 and they work for us. Loaned mine to a 6'+ friend on a trip and it didn't work out at all. His shoulders were too wide for the way the snap holds and the wind got up under the blanket. Had various members of the party try it and 5'9"-5'10" is about as tall as you can be and still be comfortable. That said, I love mine and gf loves hers. Her son loves his. This just isn't for everyone, should be advertised with height limitation and there would be fewer unhappy customers.
Good idea, so-so execution
I was so excited when I saw this. Finally, a camp blanket without the hassle. The first trip after buying it, I was so excited and showed it off to my camp-mates. I put it on, used the loops to keep the edges close, and snapped it shut at the neck. Hmmm...not as comfy as expected. Not wanting to give up too easily, I tried to use it on two more trips. And the design just doesn't work. With the hood down, and even with the hood up, the wrap drops back off my shoulders causing the snap closure to press against my neck. Instead of relaxing in a warm, comfy, wrap, I was constantly fussing at the neck and edges to stay comfortable. It's a decent blanket, but not as warm or as convenient as my plain old camp blanket. This will be going back.
A perfect blanket for traveling
I bought this as a blanket to travel with as I have found many instances where I've needed an extra or lighter blanket than what's provided in a hotel or somebody's home I'm visiting. I don't backpack so I can't speak to that. I love the weight and temperature feeling of this blanket. The only thing I would say is it is a slippery fabric. I am not sure how it compares to the name brand more expensive camp blankets as I've never owned one. I liked it so much I bought one for my husband. It will be going along with us traveling as it compresses down to go into a carry-on bag or suitcase.
Great Idea but not Suitable for Everyone
Purchased one for my wife, she is petite at 5ft tall and it suits her size well. I was planning to buy one for each of us but only bought one to see how it fits first. I'm not large but at 6ft I find it rather small for me to wear. Would've been better if there were more size options for different size people. It'll be okay for my wife but I'll pass on getting another one for myself. The material is great for what it was intended for but the size issue is the deal breaker..
looks sharp. works great
I bought this specifically for that painful moment of transition from sleeping bag to getting the fire going and it works great for that, but it's also great for middle of the night restroom visits and just hanging around the campfire. My family stole this from me almost immediately so I had to go get them their own. Sorry, I'm probably the reason they're on backorder.
A simple fix
Needs a couple extra snaps in the front to close it up. Tested the water repellent capabilities and the slightest breeze kept blowing it open. Meanwhile, everyone behind me is getting slapped in the face with a wet blanket and screaming “No capes!”.
Warm cape
There are little loop handles/arm fasteners on the side, and it creates the irresistible urge to flourish your new cape like the Phantom of the Opera. You or the person that you buy this for will not only be warm, but dashing.
Never Knew I Needed
I was skeptical, but given how I always seem to be cold, I bought one just to see. I’m constantly on the lookout for products that’ll keep me warm. This camp wrap is incredibly warm and soft, and it looks as stylish as a hooded human burrito wrap possibly could. It’s not just great for camping, but for beach bonfires, and even when you’re lounging around and feel a bit cold because the San Franciscan summer is the coldest winter you’ve experienced. It packs neatly into its little compression bag, making it super portable. Throw it into anything: the backseat of your car, backpack, beach bag, and even your weekender bag. It’s the product that I never knew I needed. I’m planning on purchasing another after I use the first one a bit more to see how it holds up. If it’s truly durable, I’ll be purchasing a few more (and hopefully by then, they’ll have more colors to choose from). This will also be perfect for those cold nights where you’re at the ballpark watching a game.
cool product. snap too easy to unsnap accidentally
Loved this. Multifunctional gear is where it’s at. This would be much better suited tho as a poncho with snaps, as it u get anything pulling on it, then off the snaps go, and bye bye blankey :( love the patterns on the black one. Even if it had some sort of loop hook of some sort I’d probably get it again. The snaps just didn’t hold for me. I got a thermarest honcho poncho instead. I would love to see these blankets have ties on all corners to be doubled up for warmth as a blanket, or used as sun/ rain cover/ under hammock cover for cocoon blankey
Very cozy
I loved it! The only snaps are by the neck- I didn’t realize this when I first bought it and was disappointed that there wasn’t one for the arms. That’s my error for not reading the full discretion. For what it is I give it 5 stars. It’s cozy ☺️
