Lightweight Warmth
I actually got this for my dog as a sleeping bag. Couldnt find anything lighter or cheaper, not just a crazy dog lady. After a few really cold nights in just a fleece, I felt bad not getting her something. Tested it out for first time in about 35-40 degree windy night. My pup seemed content and warm enough! It fits right into her Ruffwear Approach pack. Might sew it up a little for double insulation. I like that its washable, doesnt catch dog hair at all and is really packable. I got the beechwood Continental Divide one.
My favorite camping blankets!
This was something I convinced myself I “needed” working from home during quarantine. I liked them so much I slowly acquired 4 of them. We use them everyday on the couch, outside by the fire pit in the winter, and on every camping trip we’ve been on since. One side is just a little bit softer but both are very comfortable. The dog always picks my lap if I have one of these blankets. The kids love the bright colors. They have held up well, but do have a few spots from embers from the fire. The only negative (and reason for 4 stars) is that you can’t wash them in washing machines with an agitator. Washing has been a chore, but I think it’s worth it and I’m still looking to add new colors.
Great but not super warm
I bought the PCT version of this blanket a few months ago. I love the pattern because it shows PCT scenery, like Eagle Rock. It’s also very soft and packs down nicely into its bag. I took a star off because it just isn’t very warm. I mostly use it for sitting around the campfire or reading in my hammock. It’s just not as warm as I thought it would be when I purchased it. However, I still love it and normally keep it in my car when I’m not camping. I think the price is a little high too.
My New Woobie
This product is my new every night sleeping blanket. My initial intended use was for car camping or summer blanket for the hammock, but now I use it to sleep on my bed. I am 5’8” and it covers me perfect. I love the silky texture and it has enough loft to keep me comfortable. It is packable and comes with a stuff sack. I’ll be taking this to all my road trips and travel vacations. I would go as far to say that I like this blanket better than my US Army issued woobie blanket.
Great Blankets!
I love these blankets so much - so much that I have three. I use them daily on the couch, on road trips and camping - even have one at my desk at work because I am always cold. Major plus is they are not dog hair magnets!
Multi-use blanket!
I loooooove this blanket! I bought it as a lightweight substitute for a sleeping bag while summer camping in southern Arizona, and it worked great! However, it truly shines as a throw blanket. I never intended for it to be one, but jeez is it cozy. Definitely slippery, so it has a tendency to fall off the bed at night, but to curl up with it on the couch and read is so nice. It's got a very sleeping bag feel, which is shockingly cozy as a throw blanket, and warms up so quickly. It's also super easy to wash, which we love. Definitely a one-person blanket. It's pretty light, packs down well, and is very very versatile. I highly recommend!
Great camp blanket
I've used this as a blanket on about a half dozen camping trips when it's too warm to need a sleeping bag. I either put it on the tent floor under me or use it as a blanket. Based on it packing down so small, I used it on a bike packing trip down the Great Allegheny Passage and C&O Trail from Pittsburgh to DC in September. Because it's machine washable, it's incredibly easy to clean.
Better than Rumpl!
Better than Rumpl! This blanket is awesome and was perfect for camping in cold weather. I had a Rumpl before this one and enjoyed the REI better.
Nice blanket, solid value
This is a great blanket for wrapping up in around the house and out in the wild. I picked up two, and have no complaints. They compare favorably to my Rumpl throw, though they aren’t quite as puffy. The fabric is slippery, and my only complaint is there isn’t a good way to keep it wrapped around you hands free. But that’s minor for an overall solid blanket.
Great novelty blanket!
Great blanket for home or car use. It reminds me of the Army “woobie”. It’s soft and has a warmth factor for indoor use. It’s a great way to support the national parks as there are matching day packs, water bottles and chair. Definitely not for outdoor camping or backpacking. It’s pricey but likely to be a one of a kind item. I like collecting PCT items so I love it!
