- The curved blade's teeth naturally dive into the wood fibers on the pull stroke, cutting 15-20% faster than Pocketboy straight-blade saws
- Rust- and resin-resistant, hard chrome-plated steel blade with impulse hardened, non-set teeth cuts on the pull stroke for maximum performance and ergonomics
- Taper-ground blade reduces friction on the side of the blade, putting more of your energy into cutting wood rather than overcoming the forces of friction
- Slender blade design also decreases blade friction
- Offers 7 teeth per inch on a 5 in. blade length, with approximately 3 in. cutting capacity
- Proprietary Mirai-Me blade technology utilizes 4 cutting edges per tooth; impulse hardened teeth offer maximum life and durability

Good saw; heavier than stated.
Silky saws are great. This saw is no exception. However, it’s heavier than stated in the specs. It weighs 6.4oz WITHOUT the plastic case. People buy a saw this size because size and weight matter. The extra few ounces seem to come from solid materials. The locking mechanism is metal instead of plastic. And the handle is some kind of tacky/grippy rubber; both of those qualities make this a more robust outdoor saw especially in cold and wet environments. I was thinking about returning this saw initially because it’s not the lightest saw for its form-factor, but I’ve seen a lot of little saws fail because they weren’t up to the task.
Great lil saw, case needs to be sturdier
The saw itself is great! It comes in handy when cutting up kindling at campsites. It's also small enough it doesn't feel like a hassle to add to our camping essentials. It also came in handy when a tree fell in our small backyard! I was able to cut through large branches with ease to clear some space. Took one star off for the case itself. We dropped it once within about 5 minutes of it arriving and it has a large crack in it now. For outdoor equipment, feels like it needs to be a bit sturdier.
High quality saw for sure
The Pocketboy is an amazing saw that has been able to cut through every branch I have come across while clearing trails. It can fit in the hip pocket of my Osprey Raptor 10 pack for easy and rapid use. I have the larger BigBoy 2000 for larger stuff but this gets used more often as it is super easy to carry.
Nice grip and power angle
It was a touch smaller than I expected... but it is a pocket saw! I'm not so sure on the value of the pastic case it comes in becauwse that just adds to the bulk. HOWEVER it's got a great grip and a strong blade that cuts through wood. There are two settings on the handle, one for speed and another for strength. I recommend this product.
Small Saw
Compact very efficient! It’s the only saw I carry now
Portable & sharp
I bought this for my son and he's enjoyed using it for cutting small firewood & kindling. It's perfect for making campfires with smaller branches.
