No Complaints!!
I am happy with this jacket. For reference, I am 62 years old, 5'9", approx 122lbs. Bought a medium which I always do in jackets. Usually a small in tops. I did not find the sleeves to be problematic for me; however, they do cover my knuckles. When over clothing and cuffs adjusted with attached velcro, this is a non-issue. I can see where this jacket may fit snug on a curvier woman. I am the furthest thing from curvy:( being pretty slim throughout. Also, I noticed another reviewer commented on this not being a jacket, but more like a shell. I would concur. Think rain jacket or shell. It's not warm and cozy but it seems to do exactly what it's supposed to.
Great for narrow frame
I'm 5'8" and 120 lbs and this jacket works perfectly for layering. It's comfortable, quite water and windproof. The hood is quiet (not crinkly) and works with a helmet. The sleeves are longer than normal, which works great for me since I'm on the lanky side. It's hard for me to find jackets that are long and narrow enough around the hips to keep snow out and this one works great!
Love this jacket!
I am able to fit a light weight jacket or vest under this jacket for added warmth. It is true to size. I am 145lbs and 5’6” and bought a large. The waterfall color is beautiful. As always OR makes a durable well made product.
Impressed
The material is extraordinary, soft and breathable yet waterproof. It was so comfortable that I was not dying to take it off the moment that I reached my car, as I do with most plastic-y rain coats. The colors are lovely and the fit is by far more flattering than in these pictures. The waist has a nice shape to it, but still allows for layers. The look is hiking-chic.
A stretchy hard-shell? Yes, please!
The perfect blend of of hard-shell protection and softshell mobility. I am using this Jacket primarily for skiing and winter adventures (winter camping, snow shoeing etc). I wore this jacket skiing last weekend with high wind gusts and temps in the single digits. I felt protected from the wind, and with a base layer and mid-layer underneath, I stayed warm while on the lift. The halo hood fit well over my helmet when the winds really picked up. The fit is nice; however, I felt it is a little snug around my hips. For reference, I am 5'8", size 14 with a curvy, yet athletic build and I purchased the XL. I usually purchase XL shells so I have room to layer down mid layers underneath but this one did feel snug on my hips which I generally never have issues with. However, the sleeves were nice and long and the sleeves actually felt almost too big. Not a big deal as I felt I had full range of motion in this jacket even with layers underneath. I look forward to using this jacket in the backcountry as well as it is SO breathable and the full length pit zips are awesome!
Nice quality shell with poor fit.
Nice quality shell with poor fit. As others have posted, it has long sleeves, but worst is that it is too tight in the hips and stomach. I typically wear a medium, but want a large in ski jackets so I can layer. This jacket fits perfect in my chest and shoulders. But the arms are very long and its too tight in the body.
Sleeves too long
The construction of the jacket is nice. Pit zips are great. But I had to return it because the sleeves were too long. I tried to adjust the Velcro at an angle to compensate but it just wasn’t comfortable. Otherwise a great hard shell.
bad fit
I took a chance on this jacket but should have listened to the other reviews. The arms are VERY long (and I have long arms) It is narrow around the hips. Love the 2 way zipper. Will be returning it.
Nice jacket but a little big
Seems like a nice jacket. Soft material. Likely warm though material a bit thin so not sure. I had to return since the sleeves were long. Otherwise fit like a normal small.
It's just an outershell
Probably my mistake but surprised to see this arrive as just an outer shell, not a jacket...especially for $400.
