makes ultra light backpacking classy
I have eaten more meals on the trail and from a seakayak with my chopsticks than I can count. Saltwater, sand, snow, and ice haven't damaged these little sticks. they also are awesome in flipping bacon. They are my go to expedition item.
Great for lunchtime.
I still have my pair from 1987. They are in great condition. I keep them in my laptop backpack and use them at my job to eat lunch. They are beautiful and really sturdy. When I go back to Asia, I will take them with me. I wish I had had them for street food when I lived in Taiwan for 2 years in the early 80s.
Very nice chopsticks!
Fast delivery and product seems in good quality. The wooden part is on the lighter side, more like maple. All Snow Peak utensils I bought were made in Japan except for this, which was made in China.
Just meh
They’re ok. They are definitely light, and they collapse down, but I don’t know that they were worth the $45 I paid for them. If length isn’t an issue a pair of normal $2 chopsticks will do the job just as well for only a marginal weight increase. They also don’t come with any replacement tips which was disappointing for the money they cost.
Kinda crazy how nice something so simple can be
Listen it is just a pair of chopsticks......but man if they aren't the nicest pair that i have ever held by a country mile. They are so well balanced and feel of such tremendous quality. You might feel silly spending this much on chopsticks but let me tell you.....you won't regret it.
Many years of service.
I had a set of these last me about a decade. Ultimately the pieces in the wood tips began to fall apart. I was able to delay having to toss them by using glue to hold the insert in place a few more years. They were a novel addition to my gear but I prefer my Snow Peak Spork more.
Good for the trail - good for the town
1. These chopsticks are pretty 2. These chopsticks are handy 3. These chopsticks help save the environment. I am VERY pleased with this purchase!!
Great quality & Conversation Starter
Get ready to be passed off as a snob, but no one can deny you're using less disposable chopsticks and looking good doing it.
Great chopsticks, grips are steel not titanium
Since Snow Peak makes a lot of Titanium cooking gear, and these have a listed "color" of titanium, i'd assumed the grips were actually titanium. They're not. The technical specs correctly list them as "Bamboo/Stainless steel". They're very nice, but if you thought they were titanium like i did, you'll be a bit disappointed.
20 years and counting
Bought a pair of these 20 years ago and love love love them. They’re so useful, but I thought they stopped making them! I’m buying 3 more sets!
