Leaking found on a brand new 4.5L pot purchased from REI. The defective product has been returned to REI.
I picked up one of these to supplement my heavy boiling needs. I do not have a wind burner, but it works well enough on my regular camp stove. I did have a little bit of water leakage where the handles are riveted to the side, but it was minor and only occurred when boiling a full pot. I like the locking lid clips, and it boils pretty quick on a regular stove, although not as fast as if you did it on a Windburner I think. I did figure out that a Snow Peak titanium plate will perfectly nest inside, along with a set of MSR ceramic pots. This has become my main nesting kit for things like refries, rice, soups/pasta and sauces while group camping.
Bought this for a Boy Scout camp out to complement my MSR jet burner. Needed something that was light and could quickly bring water to a boil. It can easily handle 1 pound of pasta. Could probably handle one and a half to 2 pounds of pasta. The MSR jet burner brought the water to boil in no time. Highly recommend.
As a guide I've begun relying on this pot/Duo as my second stove set up with groups from 4 to 8. One stove is a dragonfly or whiisperlite and the second is the WindBurner Duo with the Stock Pot for reliable and quick water boiling.
It's a great lighter weight option for groups of 3-5 people. We've found that it tends to warp/sink in the middle if used for long periods of time or after a lot of use, so that is not great but it still functions fine.
Lightweight and great for groups! Took it for a group of 11. Used the 2.5L and the 5 L pots and it worked perfectly. It uses very little gas also!
