I'm using the 2.5L right now on the AT and absolutely love it. It takes up a little space but my wisper lite universal, gsi bowl, spoon, lighter, camp towel and dish/laundry soap all fit down into it. I could probably pack a couple more small things into it but it's fine. I really like the function of the handle and the way the lid locks both for storage and for pouring. I have been cooking yellow and coconut rice each day and have not had any burnt flavors. Cleaning it is simple just boil a little more water and wipe it. Although if you want to you could just use cold water and soap or just use a rag and then ring it. I'm taking extra precaution because of bear. Anyway this pot is great!
This is my 2nd purchase of this pot. I’ve worn out my first after 10 years. It’s so versatile from being great to melt snow on backcountry ski trips to making pasta dinner or warming burritos on woodland trips. Perfect for two person meals. Love the wind burner stove system. It’s been reliable at every elevation and wind conditions that I have been able to adventure to here in the Pacific Northwest. Light and packable. Love it!
I purchased this pot for this summer's field season and was quite pleased. The surface cooks eggs and other foods well without sticking, making clean-up a breeze. I Also have the smaller solo pot and appreciate that they will ""nest"", decreasing the footprint in your pack when trekking with a partner. A lightweight yet sturdy option for cooking on the trail, or for saving space in the vehicle when car camping.
I wanted a slightly larger pot for easy stiring and more variability with options as I like to cook veggies. This is the absolute perfect size and has a nice handle/closure as well. It fits my dragonfly stove for easy packing and is quite and doesn't rattle. I love the simplicity in its design for moto camping and BTW would take this backpacking any day of the week for solo trips! Well done MSR.
Works great for my wife and Me. We just used it this week backpacking. We were able to place two deep dish plates inside, with one at the bottom facing up and the other facing down. In-between the plates we placed a fuel canister, pocket rocket 2, small soap container and sponge, Ferrell rod and a small dish towel. All contained in one unit.
Great pot, fits my msr liquid stove. Excellent for coooking for 2-3 people and very light for the size. I bought this on sale for ~35. This is probably over kill for solo packing but if great for me as the designated chef. great for boiling water too.
So far so good, haven’t used it too much yet, but so far it’s tough, the lids fit well, and the handles are cleverly designed and the coating is a must. I use a potholder as well. It heats up fast and holds quite a bit for 2-3 people.
Super happy with how easy the ceramic is to clean. The 2.5 L is the perfect size for everything I like to cook. Light and strong! I highly recommend.
This pot is very well made. I can do everything I want with it when I go camping for a few days. I'm very happy with it.
very light and strong. in addition, it is non-sticky and that helps the cleaning process after lunch/dinner. -i
