Waterproof for sure!

I picked The North Face Freedom Snow Pants up for my first ever snowboard trip with my son and Daughter. I made painstaking effort (literally) to evaluate the waterproofness of these pants (the rear especially). The North Face Freedom Snow Pants provided great warmth, dryness, pockets and fit. Highly recommended. Snowboard lessons highly recommended as well.

Awesome pants! No complaints!

I love these pants, perfect color and very stylish! I have great movement in them, if I fall they do not tear or rip. I have received many compliments on the pants. I will never switch to another brand of ski clothing!

Only pants you will need.

This is my second pair of Freedom Pants. I buy the insulated version. First, they come in sizes that fit! I am short, and love that I can find ski gear made for me. Love the precise waist sizes- I just lost 30 pounds, and lost 6 inches in my waist. Loved that I could go from 36 to 32. They keep me warm with just base layer long underwear. The venting is brilliant for spring skiing. At age 53, the storage space is a must, carrying reading glasses, phone, medications, etc.... The product lasts forever, the zippers work great, they make skiing pleasant. If/when I gain my weight back. I'll have the other pair waiting for me!

affordable, high quality weather proof pants

I purchased these pants for my boyfriend as a Christmas gift. We didn't wait until the actual day to open them, since we are on a ski trip now (week before). So far he has had nothing but good things to say about these pants. They are lightweight but warm, waterproof but breathable. Perfect to layer with, and easy to tuck into his snow boots. My only issue was that the waist on the Medium (long) was a little large but, then again, he is a tall and slim guy. Might have just been his narrow waist. Purchased in the "Asphalt Grey" and they match well with a lot. Will be purchasing again in the near future!!

Nice Pant but I have reservations

I will start with I love that The North Face makes ski pants that don't have too much extra thigh space. Unfortunately these went a little too far the other way. I am 5'4", 120lbs and the waist and length were great but the thigh/butt were too tight in the small I also bought a pair of the NFZ Pant in a small and they fit great through the thigh/butt. I was also disappointed with the thigh pocket. Although it would hold your items securely it makes them difficult to access quickly. I use these as work pants at a ski area and wanted the thigh pocket for easy access to employee schedules and my phone. But, the pocket is too difficult to access quickly (con for me, pro for valuables:)

Freedom Large/Short

The Freedom pants are great. Only problem is the Large/Short size is a bit on the long side for my inseam. I have a 34-35" haist and a 29-30" inseam and the short length in large are a bit too long. The medium/short length were a perfect length for me, however, they were a bit tight around the middle. I understand I have short stubby legs and realize that a short length in large needs to be longer than a short length I'm medium (TNF needs to make a product that fits most people and it is not their fault that I really like IPAs and should normally fit in a medium /short). With ski boots, the lengrh is good. I just roll them up when walking in my normal shoes so I don't fray the bottoms.

Freedom Snow Pants

Not only is North Face the only snow gear that we wear, it is the most comfortable and most durable. These snow pants were purchased as a Christmas gift, however, with all the snow we have gotten in Lake Tahoe, they were opened earlier to get some use on the mountain. My boyfriend came home that night and said I love these snow pants. The weather conditions were icy, snowy and wet, and he said everything beaded up on his NEW snow pants and snow jacket (both from North Face) and he was completely dry. (whereas his buddy wasn't so dry). We highly recommend not only these snow pants, for comfort, dryness, warmth, etc but also all North Face snow gear is true to its description and product.

A great addition to snowboarding wardrobe

Bought these pants for my husband for a recent boarding trip to Park City-- he loved them! We actually both ended up with new North Face gear for this particular trip, and were not disappointed. These pants fit him true to size (he is 6'3 215; definitely athletic) and he felt like he had plenty of room to move / flex in while boarding. We ordered the XL and XXL sizes to try (as you know, ski pants are all over the place in sizing!) and he kept the XL which is his normal size in most things. Definitely recommend if you need a great, affordable pant to keep you warm! The "fig" color is awesome.

Not only for snowboarding

I am literally wearing this pants right now while writing this review on a bus tour in Iceland. I am so glad that I bought this pants for this trip. It kept me warm so far and very comfortable to wear. I've been wearing it with a liner to all our tours. I would buy it again!
