I use the Verbier Gortex Summit Series in major snow storms in the Sierra Nevada mountains such as Mammoth . When the snow conditions are "Sierra Cement" the Gortex keeps the wet snow from soaking me. I've skied in all types of conditions such as Alta Utah! I recommend North Face to everyone I know! Excellent gear.
I am a 23-year-old male - 180lbs 6ft. I chose the size M regular, and they fit great. They are slightly baggy around the torso/waste, leaving enough room for a light fleece/sweatshirt under if you want, or just a base layer if need be. The length is great, being the perfect mix between baggy and form-fitting without being restrictive.
Excellent improvements from last year. The fit is superb, athletic in the right places yet roomy enough for layering. Pockets, zippers, and fabric are dynamite. I cant imagine a better bib for resort and backcountry skiing. Well done TNF.
Can someone please explain how side entry bibs work and delete this review? Do you have to completely remove all upper layers to get the bib pulled down when nature calls when you are in the backcountry all day during a raging snow storm?
I'm 5' 9" 180 lbs. The Medium sized bibs were restrictive with anything more than a tee shirt on under the bibs. It's a very "athletic" fit. Will return and size up. Quality is top-notch.
These are killer bibs and built to last. Lighter than my other 3L bibs but awesome. Easy to get in and out of and the one hand suspender adjust works great.
Great bib. It is more fitted than the freedom bib. For example, L freedom fit me comfortably (baggy), but I wear an XL short in this bib. 5'9 170lbs.
Nice amount of room for freedom to move while skiing and hiking. Well constructed and look top notch, too!
My default ski bibs. Really like them. Durable, able to move around in freely, not restrictive.
No full front zip entry means HOT BODY. Might be good bibs but Summit Series? I think not.
