Very solid everyday bag

I purchased this bag to replace my old North Face. I love the way it opens all the way, can be technically work as a messenger bag or backpack (only used as backpack), and how slim and low profile it is. I usually carry a couple small notebooks, laptop, and change of clothes to and from work everyday. While it packs a lot more than you would think for being 25L, it maintains its size and doesn’t get bulky. My only knock is that the way the interior pockets are designed, it makes use as a messenger bag a little difficult.

Not Impressed with the Zippers

I received the bag two days ago. I'm especially surprised by the lightweight zippers on a Patagonia bag. I'm keeping the bag because it fulfills a need. Big, roomy compartments with good dividers. Of course that makes the weight substantial. I think the color is unattractive, but I want something that stands out. I'll be traveling a good bit of the spring and summer photographing super cells on the Great Plains, and want a bag I'll recognize quickly that can carry minimally essential things into cafés and other places. I'm going to be asked if I would recommend this to a friend. Well, it depends on the use the friend might put the bag to. General use? No, and that's what I'll record.

No, I do not recommend this product
