Straight Forward Design and Durable Pack

My work involves being out outdoors and needing a variety of items that are easily accessed and stored on the fly. The main pouch is roomy and has a added flat storage slot as well. On the outside a zippered pocket on the back keeps smaller items neatly tucked and secured. There are also straps on each side of the pack with seven separate slots to hang or strap on additional gear. It feels rugged and looks very water resistant. There are two large handles on top to easily spread the bag open or to carry pack as a bag at your side. The pack is finally complete with a durable synching cord and adjustable clips to secure the load. This is my first Patagonia purchase and I now see why their reputation is so strong!

Smaller than advertised

This pack has NO laptop sleeve. It has padding in the back but ZERO sleeve for a laptop. There is a tiny compartment at the top (large enough for a pen and a pack of gum) and a small pouch in the front, large enough for MAYBE a journal and your wallet). The entire pack is a medium sized pouch, with padding for your back (which they probably thought qualified as a laptop sleeve). You can fit a pair of jeans, a sweatshirt, and maybe a lunch in the largest compartment. You will not fit a change of clothes AND shoes. I bought this pack for walking into town to get groceries and I cannot do that. There's not space! I fit a 4oz clamshell of lettuce, a european cucumber, two tomatoes, a can of Yerba Madre, and four Yukon gold potatoes. The end. The size and utility of this pack is really misleading.
