Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy and secure bike rack I bought this to carry my mountain bike because I was tired of my old rack that went on the back of my car. Its super easy to install, looks good, and is easy to use with any bike. I have now used it for my road bike and my mountain bike and it was easy with both.

I couldn't tell from the pics, is there any kind of a locking mechanism for the arm that clamps to the frame? How is the bike secured if left unattended for more than 20 seconds?

Asked by: AJintheNorth
This bike mount includes two lock housings for securing your bike to the mount and the mount to the rack. Two keyed-alike locks are required for each bike mount (sold separately): https://www.rei.com/b/thule/c/car-rack-locks

Will it work for my 4" fat tire bike

Asked by: Lion King
This bike mount will not accommodate fat bikes. The largest compatible tire width is 3 inches.

My mountain bike is a Giant X-Trance, the downtube is trapezoidal shaped, 2" wide on the under side, will the frame arm on this rack be able to grip and secure my bike?

Asked by: Joe1201
The claw that attaches to the bike is adaptable to different frames, so it can be adapted to work with your bike.

Will this work for my sons 18" wheel or his 20" wheel?  I am trying to find a solution to a kids bike.

Asked by: ckyoga
You can attach the 20 inch bicycle to the ProRide, but the manufacturer says that the 16 inch may be too small for the ProRide's adjustment parameters (it can depend on the frame style).
