new favorite summer shirt

Best shirt I've ever owned for hot humid summer weather. Super light fabric, looks good on me (wife said). I'm a bigger guy so it's hard finding a good fit that looks good. It gets wet skipping rocks down by the river, kids spilling water and juice on me, gets rained on, dries quick. I wish this came in more colors - I would buy them all. Best shirt for hot muggy weather.

Columbia Missed to Boat or someone is not watching the store

I normally wear a medium in Columbia shirts, even the large was small and I returned both. Additionally, the short sleeve length on this shirt is over an inch shorter than others, so much for sun protection of upper arms. This could be a great shirt if they could get their sizing right or a new contractor who is not short changing them on fit. Having an inconstant fit issue with any of their shirts manufactured in Viet Nam... have return 5 out of the last 7. Better fit and finish on shirt they are having made in India. Also, on the credits for returned shirts, they have omitted refunding the sales taxes.

Best Collared Shirt I own

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've now had this shirt for two weeks and I can't stop wearing it. I live in a camp like setting in hot weather, 90+ degrees, 50+% humidity every day and this shirt is perfect. I own a few other columbia shirts and I love this one above all the rest. It breathes extremely well and is very comfortable. I believe it runs true to size for Columbia gear. As in, I wear a large in most other companies but I know I'm a Medium in Columbia gear. I am 6'2" 170lbs, athletically built and the standard medium fits perfect. I got ash grey and love the color. I will be buying more.

Texas southern UT longhorn.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ive never been able to find a shirt in this style that actually fits me without being too baggy or loose until NOW! I love this shirt and the color. I purchased the Medium in Steel color. It looks good for either something more formal or just a casual shirt to the beach which is why I bought it. I am 6ft and 165lbs so on the athletic slim side and it fits great, one of the issues I usually come across is the shirt might fit good on the arms and chest but the length is too short since Im slim and tall. This shirt does not have that issue. I would definitely recommend.

Perfect Tropic Wear

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The “Silver Ridge Lite” short sleeve shirt is perfect for travel to tropical areas or anywhere you want to stay cool and dry. I recently took a trip to Southeast Asia and only wished that I had packed more of these shirts. In the hot and humid weather that we experienced, this shirt was loose fitting, lightweight, and dried quickly from perspiration or from the tropical rain storm we got caught in during our hike in the jungle. I was impressed with the quality and performance of this shirt and would highly recommend it for purchase.

Great shirt

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like these shirts because I can wear them at home, at the office, or outside walking the dogs. They keep you cool, and if you're out in the rain, they dry very quickly. I'm fairly tall (6'3") and ordered an XXL. I probably could've gotten away with an XL, as the 2XL is a little long and looks like it should be tucked in, but I'm not big on tucking in unless I'm at work. I've washed it a few times and haven't noticed any shrinking. A very durable, lightweight shirt, and I have this style in 3 different colors.

Great travel shirt, a bit more snug than the slack tide shirts

Great featherweight shirt for hot weather. The venting in the back definitely lets in the breeze and this, along with the Slack Tide shirts, are as close as you can come to feeling like you're not wearing a shirt when it's hot out. I definitely prefer the cut of the Slack Tide shirt to this one, as it a bit looser, despite the fact that both shirts have the same "Modern Classic" cut. I'm 5'8 185 and this one was a bit snug under the armpits, whereas the slack tide shirts fit me perfectly.

Heat beater

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First time trying one of these fishing/hiking type woven shirts with the back vent. Can't believe I've been sweating in regular shirts until now! The mesh on the back keeps the shirt from sticking to sweaty backs. And the fabric is so light and airy this is the best shirt I've ever had for hot days! Shirt runs a little large like most Columbia shirts, but it's not a problem for me, helps to keep me cooler I think. The Petrol Blue color is a beautiful rich teal type of color (not just blue look like the photo on site). Highly recommended. Another bonus is the front pockets have mesh pockets to also prevent shirt sticking to chest areas if sweating. I am wary of thin white shirts due to showing nipples through or what not, but with the pockets on these, I think white or other light colors will be great options.

Great shirt; deceptive color

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 'Love the rip-stop fabric. I have several Columbia shirts, both long sleeve and short sleeve, in these lightweight fabrics, and I gradually add to my collection. This purchase was frustrating due to a color surprise. I ordered the Carnelian Red which, on screen, looked like a medium-dark shade of red. When it arrived I discovered it was a burnt orange. I was specifically after a red, so this was not a pleasant surprise. One star off.
