Super Fun!
I bought this a month ago and these boats are awesome. They're super stable and really comfortable for kayaking, and the swimming platform SUP function is really fun as well. They are really big and pretty heavy, I can put them on my roof rack of my car, but my partner can't. If you're looking for boats that are just fun and versatile these are a gnarly choice. If you're looking for light fast boats because you want to race across the lake, you should probably get something else. I would also recommend getting slightly longer paddles than usual since the boats are so wide.
Best of both worlds
I've been using this on the Willamette river in Portland where it can be pretty windy and not so calm. One of the reviews says it was shaky, I bought it anyway and I thought it was going to be a lot shakier. I'm 230 pounds and it is very stable. The cooler space is cool, but small, enough to fit a 6-pack though. You can throw a pretty heavy cooler on the back and it fits great. If you buy this, you will need to think of getting a 'split blade' paddle so you can put a handle on if your supping or a blade on if you're kayaking. I just bought a sup paddle and paddle like im in a canoe if I'm sitting. Not the most efficient way but it works! I highly recommend this thing. It is awesome.
Great to share with my wiemaraner
Have had this now for about a month, each time I've taken it out it is an absolute blast. If you want a fast dedicated kayak, or a super stable sup, this is probably not for you. If you want to get out on a slow River, or calm lake , and enjoy the Best of Both Worlds, without having to switch boats. This is an excellent choice. Super comfortable, to just lean back and enjoy the water. But love the versatility, to just stand up and get a better view of the surroundings. My dog absolutely loves, the swim deck in the back. Highly recommend this, as a super versatile fun summer boat.
Fun DOG Barge
Yep, this is a pretty good boat for you and your pooch. We run class I rivers, and it's stable and reasonably responsive (for a barge) For 5 stars, it would need a Retractable Fin (for launching, and those shallow river spots).... I also suggest adding more foam on the nose (for paws), more places to clip stuff (the rail is too wide for carabiners), and more storage.
just got it
sit high for kayak paddling no where to prop feet/knees so teetering on that seat is predominately a paddle board with a seat only for very flat water
Amazing
Absolutely amazing! So sturdy and my dog loves it. It weighs a ton, and hard to find storage place but totally worth it!
