Rated 5 out of 5 by from A very comfortable PFD for paddling After completing a 400 mile river trip, I decided to get a new PFD. My old traditional style MTI tended to rub on the side of my face at times, and was just too bulky and restrictive for arm movement. After trying on several, I picked the Ninja. It is the most comfortable PFD I have used for paddling. It's like I'm not wearing one. The Ninja doesn't have bunches of storage like a fisherman model PFD, but what it has is adequate. I was willing to trade some pocket space for freedom of arm movement. The only downside to this style, is the donning process being over the head, you have to be mindful of glasses or a cap. Not a big deal, but it's something to be aware of.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New Amputee Kayaker 280 lbs I was looking for a PFD that would support my weight and limited leg kick propulsion due to an amputation (above knee). The employee sized me correctly and found this product that perfectly met my needs. I was part of an adaptive kayaking rescue workshop and felt totally secure in the water awaiting "rescue" after capsizing my kayak.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Used it every day on my surfski in rough oceans. It allows freedom of movement, is effective, and easy adjustment allows other family members to use. Yes it costs more than some other models but the quality is there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent highly flexable PFD I am a 300+ lb 52" chest man who has complete mobility in this PFD. It doesn't feel restricted or constrained in any way. Easily donable both on the water and off the water. A little small on the front pocket but big enough for keys or a waterproofed phone. Very versatile.

I have a 45" chest. Would you suggest an XL (38-46) or XXL (42-50)?

Asked by: ILuvCHQ
It's probably best to choose the XXL, as you may find layers under a size XL vest uncomfortably snug.
