Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not working as hoped - still tinkering Works well with the ANT+ connection on Zwift, but not the iPhone 6 bluetooth connection on Strava. On my iPhone, my heart rate jumps around (e.g. In the middle of going full throttle up a hill it instantly drops from 180bpm to 14bpm) and seems to get stuck on a bpm number for stretches of time. I contacted customer service and they came back with a laundry list of things to try. So far I have tried using electrode gel, flipping the battery to reset, shaving my chest, and the issue is still not resolved. The new batteries I ordered should arrive this week - so my fingers are crossed. It is frustrating, if I buy something I want it to work out of the box.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from strap not as good as old one! I have owned a tickr monitor for almost two years. I have encouraged others to also purchase because it was so easy to use with the apple watch. I recently purchased a new strap for my daughter. There are no problems with it connecting and working. The problem is the strap. It is different from my old one - I assume it should be an improvement. But it is constantly popping off. The snaps do not hold it together sufficiently. I am a small person so I know I am not putting a lot of stress on the strap. And I know I am not the only one having this issue. I recommended the tickr to my workout instructor and she has trouble keeping her strap on also!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for daily use I had my TICKR for just over a year. I used it daily for running, biking (both road and mountain), and cross training. It's pretty light weight and you really hardly notice that's there. Over all TICKR works really well with both my phone (iPhone) and my Suunto Amibt. On both devices everything seems to be spot on data wise. I've done a few comparisons with other HR monitors and everything checked out. There are some times when TICKR takes almost 6 minutes to start transmitting data correctly, but I've only seen that issue on runs. That being said after about a year of use the connector broke apart and rendered my HR monitor useless. I'll likely end up buying another to replace the one that broke apart on me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Accurate BPM with limited data I purchased Tickr to track BPM more for health than for fitness. My boyfriend had a-fib and his heart rate was all over the place. We needed a reliable monitor to get a handle on his heart rate. Tickr provided that valuable data. We did find that Tickr had a hard time finding his heart rate while on beta blockers. Tickr picked my heart rate up immediately, but it took several tries to get his. I use it for other activities such as walking and workouts. The only disappointing thing is that it doesn't store data to sync. You need to have your phone close by. If you want a monitor that stores and syncs, you need to get another model.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Good Heart Rate Monitor. I bought the TICKR last year when I wanted to upgrade my old heart rate monitor and it's ran strong this whole year. I haven't even changed the battery yet. I really like how it has a blue flashing LED on one side and a red flashing LED on the other side. When you strap it on you "know" it is working when the blue light flashes. I think the red light represents your heart rate so you know everything is working. It is the quickest of my wahoo sensors to connect to my MAC and my GARMIN. The use of use and reassurance with the LED lights makes this the best heart rate monitor on the market.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sensors separate from strap I have bought two TICKR heart rate monitors from Wahoo (one for myself and one for my wife). The devices work great with iPhone through both Endomondo and Strava. The strap was comfortable and stayed in place well for my uses (mainly cycling). The one problem I ran into was that sensors become easily unglued from the fabric strap. This has happened with both of our straps. My strap lasted a few months before it separated; however, my wife's strap began to separate immediately. Strap sensor separation does not appear to be under warranty with Wahoo. If you are in the United States, purchasing replacement straps may be an option. Unfortunately, shipping costs to Canada through Wahoo are prohibitive.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My favorite HR monitor. Since this is my third HR strap I can compare it to other brands that I have owned. 1. Best feature is ANT+ and Bluetooth. 2. Strap is very comfortable to wear. I have used the HR monitor with my iPhone 5s and Garmin edge 500 and Garmin forerunner 25 without issues. The strap has very little plastic and isn't icy cold when I put it on. It stays in place when cycling. When running I have had problems with the back sliding down and falling off at the end of my run. That was very annoying. My solution was using the adjustment to make the strap tighter next time. I liked it so much I bought one for my daughter too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great HRM! You won't be disappointed I have used Polar, Sigma, Garmin, and Bluetooth straps over the years. I love this strap because it is now the only one I need. The ant+ allows using it with my vivosmart and Garmin Edge, as well as our gym's spin bikes. It also works with all my iPhone apps. It doesn't work with polar based cardio machines, but that is not important as I use either my vivosmart or iPhone. The strap is super comfortable and use a very good closure (compared to the Polar BT hook and loop). The indicator lights are also great to have to troubleshoot connectivity/working issues, which by the way, have been none. I should note my wife has one also that she uses with bikes and her Apple Watch. Simply my best HRM ever.

The app downloaded to my phone and iWatch but the app doesn't work on the watch.  Am I doing something wrong or did I misunderstand the compatibility with the iWatch?

Asked by: StayingYoung
You are not doing it wrong. It disconnects within seconds after you leave the Bluetooth screen after you connected it. It is compatible, but, doesn't work 100%. I have talked to Customer Service and they wanted me to do a lot of things to see if its my settings and such. But, really, it's a badly made HR monitor for anything Apple.
