The North Face  Wawona 6 Tent

Lots of room extremely well made. This is a keeper. If your lucky enough to get this tent for $399 tell them please take my money. We would have paid twice that for this tent. Say good by too hotels. This is the only tent I would say buy some land and settle in for the long haul. You can now retire. Compact well made and the best tent you will ever buy. Perfect dog tent.

My wife and I have been camping together for nearly 10 years and we normally went the cheaper route when buying our tents. We usually bought a basic (cheaper) 6 person, to accommodate our two cots and dog crate. We upgraded to this tent this year and upon initial set up I'm very happy with the design. Very beefy poles, lots of ventilation options, I think 5 different convenient storage pouches. Looks pretty sharp from the outside as well. I set up our two cots and measured the remaining width to ensure our 30" wide dog crate would fit - more than enough room. The vestibule will be very nice should it rain and I'm picturing many morning coffees in that space. I will echo a previous reviewer who mentioned that the main front doors are only mesh, so we'll need to rely on the walls of the vestibule for warmth. We live in WI and usually only camp from late May to September, so temps shouldn't be an issue. The floor seemed a bit thin too, but we'll be investing in a footprint which should add some protection. I think the dog likes it too :). Looking forward to many years of use with this tent.

Overall i feel satisfied with my purchase. Very roomy with 2 large vestibules. Taped seems but no bathtub style floor. Single wall design make set up quicker but i would have preferred a separate rainfly. Biggest flaw is you can only open windows from the outside and its open or closed there is halfway option. I do like that the vents are seeled in mesh so it keeps out bugs. The windows are my only complain.

On the whole great tent. Big pros -One person set up -Lot of room -Vestibule is great for storing gear or taking a private bath at a busy camp ground. -Lots of ventilation options. -Real sturdy Big con -This thing is drafty. The big mesh door let’s out a lot of heat. The draft actually is quite welcome if it’s over 50 at night. It got down to 38 in Yellowstone and this thing would not keep in heat. It can be mitigated with a heater. It’s going to be my summer tent. But I’m going back to my mountain 25 for the colder nights. Or buying that heater.

It is easy to set up my my 12 year old and I set it up I love the color too. It is the best purchase I have made..

Very poor durability and customer service from North Face. Several of the poles were bent by a moderate to fresh breeze. North Face doesn’t carry replacement poles so the whole tent is wonky now which led to rips and tears. Beware if using by salt water. All the zippers got stuck except one meaning windows and vents can’t be opened or closed. Tried to work with North Face customer service and they were no help. Poor product. I’d recommend getting a REI tent and rest assured you can get poles repaired or replaced easily.

Excellent tent for family or hunting. Super easy set up. Built in rainfly is legit and survived monsoon downpour the first trip I took with this beast, not a drip or drop inside. vestibule is huge, enough room to store coolers, packs and other gear without getting in the way of entering tent. So many internal pockets! Only knock is the drafty nature of this tent being that there is only the mesh netting zip door separating the inside of the tent and the open-air vestibule. Once staking is complete there is a couple inches of clearance between the ground and the bottom of the vestibule on both sides of the tent. This creates heat loss and wind intrusion. Solid zip door would have easily remedied this. Also more thought could have gone into ceiling zips to allow for star gazing. Overall solid weather-proof tent for the price.

This tent worked well for our family of 4 plus a dog. The vestibule has plenty of room for 2 chairs plus storage for muddy boots, tools, etc. I agree with others that it got a little chilly inside overnight (we were in Leadville, CO at 38 degree lows), but our 1 and 4 year old didn't seem to mind in their sleeping bags. You can set it up by yourself, though it is a bit easier with 2 people. Also got torrential downpours overnight and heavy gusts but the tent held up well and we were all dry as a bone. The duffle carry bag is also really nice because you don't have to struggle trying to roll up the tent to fit inside a tubular bag like every other tent/bag/pad I own. Can't recommend this tent enough!

This tent is easy to put up, open and breezy in the hot summer Oklahoma sun, plenty of room for the whole family, and hides valuables well when you aren't there. But the most 5 star worthy attribute. With its aerodynamic design and oversized tight fitting reinforced frame poles, It withstood 60 mile per hour wind gusts and a deluge of a thunder storm two nights in a row. And the whole family stayed safe and dry. I was amazed. It was scary and loud, but the tent was strong. Tip, I tied everything down very well. The strength came from the frame poles and the single wall design. If the item is available, and you need a practical, high quality, high durability tent, this is the one. 10 out of 10

We stayed completely dry in a heavy thunderstorm. Two large adults and 3 kids from 6 to 3 fit very comfortably, with plenty of room for a suitcase and a fan. The vestibule is huge and nearly doubles the usable space. ALL of our camping and cooking gear fits in it. I like that the color is out of the ordinary at the campsites we have visited, so our tent is easy to spot. Lots of pockets for our valuables, and the hanging tabs are very well placed. Tons of ventilation with big windows, and very easy to set up. Two of us set it up in about 15 minutes, which can be shorter once we get more experience. We got a great deal with this tent on sale, and it would have been worth it at full price. Also purchased the footprint.
