Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great pants but too long I bought these pants several weeks ago preparing for a trip I'm taking in March2017. I really like the fabric and the fit. I was looking for hiking pants for my curvy figure and with a higher rise on the waist. These pants fit the bill . I wear a size 8 pants but most of the hiking/cargo pants seem to run small/slim so I have had to go up a size. I am 5'3 and these pants were extremely long. The roll up is nice but there is a lot of fabric to roll. I could have had them hemmed but I didn't want to add an additional cost to the pants. I returned them and was able to find a style in a short size at REI

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome pants! I bought these pants after not being able to find ANY that fit the way I wanted. I wanted them to be loose enough for comfort and mobility, but fitted enough to not look baggy. These were perfect! I'm 5'5" and about 128 lbs, usually a size 4, but I got a size 6 with these, so consider ordering a size up. I wore them for 4 days straight backpacking, and they never wrinkled and still looked clean by the end. They roll up nicely, stay cool, dry SUPER fast, and are very comfortable. The adjustable waist band could be better since it's basically just an elastic ribbon, so it starts to feel tight/uncomfortable on my tummy, but not too bad. Totally would recommend these sturdy pants for hiking, backpacking, camping, working, or basically any activity! :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfy & wrinkle-resistant! Unlike most camp pants after you've worn them for a day, these pants hold their shape & are incredibly wrinkle-resistant!! If I had to wear the same pair of pants for a couple of days in a row to limit what I carry on a camp trip, these would be the pants I'd take. I love the fact that they can be shortened into capris or worn as long pants & the waist band is comfortable & holds its shape even after a few days. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good for a curvy figure I have a huge butt, so it's hard for me to find work pants that aren't too tight, but also have a more flattering "straight leg" look. These are probably the best looking pants I've found! I need sturdy pants too, so the material is great. I wish rei carried the shorter inseam though because there is a lot of fabric to roll up (I'm 5'2").

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable! I love the fit and look of these pants! I just wish I could still make them into shorts. I only take one pair of pants hiking/camping for 10 days. I need it to do everything.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable, light, protective and flattering Got these pants as a midpoint between a pair of light Patagonia Saharas and a pair of heavy workwear 9.11s. I love the fabric weight and structure. You can bash through tough cover and sit on pokey ground. I like the cut, fit, length. I agree with other commenters that the internal drawstrings at the waist are too short while the snap closure is a worthy foe to snap and undo. But neither of those shortcomings diminish the overall quality and fit of these pants for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Women's hiking pants that fit well! I was looking for a hiking/camping/field pant that wasn't skin-tight, but also wasn't baggy -- a hard balance to find. These pants hit the mark! The waist is high enough that I have never had coverage issues and also low enough that these don't reach "mom jean" territory. The sizing is a little off (as I've found on many hiking pants), so size up (I'm 5'5", 155 and usually wear a 6, but I am a 10 in these pants). The length is great though -- not too long (and they can be rolled).

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Breathes efficiently I bought these two months ago in preparation for trekking in hot and sometimes hot and humid conditions. I've been testing how well they hold up and remain comfortable, around the region in San Diego county. So far, they breathe well and there are no hot spots or accumulation of heat anywhere. It helps that the SPF keeps the sun off the actual garment. In comparison the Prana Zion pants breathe better, however in direct sun, the nylon fabric heats up rather alarmingly. I may return theses because the waist cinch cord is a poor substitute for more robust waist buttoning (think of men's pants). When I attach a minimalist rain shirt, hat via a carabiner to one of the belt loops, the pants start heading south (doesn't happen with the Prana Zion pants). Another, in my experience,, equipment failure is the closure snap above the zipper: it is difficult to secure and properly snap together. I check it several times while hiking because should the cinch on the waist cord fail, I'm going to be in serious trouble raising my pants with a lot of equipment on my back and hips. 3 Stars because they are comfort and breathe well. I'm used to the "noise" from the nylon fabric and prefer the light weight than that of a heavier but quieter fabric. It dried quickly after the pant legs became completely wet in a water crossing. They are robust enough that I don't significantly feel the ground area plants or brush against my legs. Bottom line, I am not confident they can take my load and stay up, during a wide variety and varying ever changing conditions. They're too expensive for anything less.

I walk/hike through a lot of brush and thorns, and all my other pants that aren't jeans die from being snagged and pulled. Will the fabric of these pants hold up to blackberry brambles?

Asked by: 3Puddles
Although still a durable material, these pants can snag and tear occasionally when passing through stickers and brambles.

Would you expect these to be good for winter travel to Germany & Austria boDec? No hiking but lots of outdoor city walking (Kristkindl markets).

Asked by: White Oak
These pants will not provide much insulation if the temperature is cold.
