No more monkey butt!
Incoming monkey butt review! Not only am I a member of the Monkey Butt Brigade, I’m at least a 2-star general in it. I’m “blessed” with super sensitive skin, and multi day backcountry trips are more often than not plagued with chaffing that’ll make you wish for death. And I’m kinda OCD when it comes to cleanliness, so yes, I know how to properly wipe after nature’s call. After years of assuming there was nothing I could do, feeling silly I googled some solutions. *Body Glide has entered the game* Game changer. Life altering. Best $8 I’ve ever spent for my cheeks. Give this bad boy a quick swipe between the cheeks before hitting the trail for day and behold!... no more chaffing that’ll make you cry for your mama by day 3 in the woods. In summary, it works. I will not be submitting photos for proof, so you’ll have to take my word for it.

Rancid!
I've been using body glide for about 6 years with great results. Always took it for blisters and thigh chaffing when backpacking. Sadly, they changed the formula in the past year and now my stick has gone rancid while sitting in an air conditioned house. Meanwhile the nub of one that I bought in 2014 (and did the A.T. with) is still fine. They were stored in the same place when not in use. The new .8oz only has 300 cold fall miles on it and is no longer usable. Good bye Body Glide....

Works well this kind is my favorite

Works well. I’ve used this all over and I have never had any issues at all with irritation or chafing. Body glide makes a kind for males and females and even a kind specifically for feet, but the differences are in an ingredient or two. I use this one kind all over my body and it works. I think the women's kind has almond oil in it and that is it. I also hate that they make a lot of things for women pink because not every woman likes pink. I think both kinds should be the same color. It’s not that important but stop making woman’s things purple and pink give me army green and orange. Lol

Keeps the me chafe free

I use this for the summer when I know I’ll be walking around a lot while it’s hot out. I buy the small one so I can leave it in my bag in case I need it. It makes it so my legs don’t chafe at all and it lasts a long time. It also helps if you have clothing that rubs against you. I use it with some of my shoes that rub against my heels and the top of my foot. Rubbing some of this on helps stop blisters from forming. (Will say it is better for leg chafing than shoe blister, I’d still recommend bandages but when desperate it is pretty good.)

Literally saved me on the PCT!!!

I typically use baby powder to treat/prevent chafing, but on a 5 day, 64 mile section hike of the PCT, I was chafed raw. No amount of cleansing and powder was providing any relief. I tried this as a last ditch effort, and when I felt how much relief it offered, I literally cried. I applied the next morning before I set out, and completely forgot about the issue I had the previous day. I will NEVER go on another hike without it! Only reason I'm giving 5 stars is because thee is no option to select 6 stars!

Awesome for ditty bag

Wow. I don’t know who or how this was thought of but I am so happy. I have been dealing with flop sweat my entire life and this product has changed my life. Gone is the days of the prickly heat and chafing when temps rise. I use this for everyday use. I used to use baby powder but this is way better. It doesn’t wear off or wear out as the day goes on. It may stain the underwear a little bit but not to use it would be not worth the alternative. I am not the fittest guy around so any of you who do get redness down there you know what I am talking about. I buy this small one for my travel trips and it passes through security and is small enough for my ditty bag (one-third smaller than those dollar travel deodorants).

Friction is but a memory

Without this amazing product, my thighs rub together so ferociously they can start a small fire. Thanks to Glide, I no longer have this problem.

Most essential piece of gear

I chafe in my thighs, and as such, this product is a god send. Turns it into a complete non issue. Carried it on my entire thru hike of the AT. Literally couldn't have made it without BG

works on feet, too

This stuff is a trip saver. It has worked everywhere I've tried it. Most of the stick ends up on my feet, and especially between my toes where it saves me from blistering. There's a foot-specific version, I know, but my feet can't tell the difference. One small stick lasts me 500+ miles of thru hiking.

Old Standby

I easily chafe on my thighs in the summer while my partner chafe’s easily on his chest while wearing a pack and this stuff helps both of us. Bottom line: it works, recommended for anyone who needs chafing relief.
