Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top Notch All Around Cycling Computer! I have been using my ELMNT all over the world for mountain biking. I love the ease of use out of the box and the easy interface with the app on my iPhone. It's great that I can automatically upload my rides to programs like Strava and Training Peaks to save me time. I love that how clean the data fields are on the screen and that I can zoom in and out to show more and less data. I also really like that I can see my text messages only ELMENT. My job is to stay connected and I get to decide if I need to pause my ride or not when I get a text instead of having to stop and check my phone! Best of all- it is reliable so I can use it for every ride.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from could be grea but it has a few bugs I finally received my Elemnt 1 month ago after the manufacturing delays. The set-up was easy and the functionality is great. However the maps were not installed but this was easily fixed with the online technical assistance. The screen clarity is great in all conditions (i generally have the screen back light on as my rides are in the dark early morning). Generally it works well but occasionally it loses the censor signals, has trouble with correct Elevation calculations (but is fixed with some Strava assistance) and it doesn't automatically logon with familiar wifi networks....small issues but it is a little disappointing.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from How long before it's what was advertised? Easy to set up? Yes. Great screen? Yes. Battery life is no where near 17 hours. No turn indicators when using a course. Can't delete courses. Live track does not work. No indication of gradient on the course. Where is the top of the climb etc? No training plans/interval options No ability to have different pages/set up for different bikes. No way to purchase additional mounts. Plastic ones are fine just need more. Team Sky are sponsored and use Kickr which is a great endorsement. They dont use Elemnts on the road! Good effort but way overpriced for the functionality at this stage.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great computer, app needs work I love this thing on rides and how you don't have to rely on your phone while out riding unless you'd like to share your live location w/friends and family. The companion app and how it should interact w/the computer is great in theory, but it needs work as it crashes frequently and uploading rides from the ELEMNT to the app and then to Strava, etc is painfully slow even while on my home Wi-Fi network. That's not a deal breaker for me though as Wahoo is already looking into the FIT files I've sent to them for developer review. The ease of use while on rides is flawless and my sensors paired with no issues. Don't let my review discourage you, because I'm confident Wahoo's working the kinks out of the app over time will just take the ELEMNT to another level.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it!!! It just works! I received my Elemnt on Monday and had it installed in about 15 minutes. I couldn't believe how fast it was to setup...heart rate monitor, cadence and speed sensors all sync'd with no issues. I put on the mount and was ready to go. I took it out for its maiden voyage on Tuesday and it worked like a charm. The GPS had no problems finding me - unlike the Garmin that takes forever, if it ever works. I have nothing but positive things to say about the product. I'm super super happy I bought this. If you have a garmin - buying this will be like going from a Windows machine to a Mac. If that makes sense to you - buy this product :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid Bike Computer, That Keeps Getting Better I was looking for a new head unit and was able to borrow one from my LBS when it first hit the market. Though it was missing turn-by-turn directions when released, I still found its features useful. I eventually purchased the unit I borrowed. Pairing with the phone so I could set up and customize the Elemnt was a breeze. Getting call/SMS alerts was very useful when I was on a ride, but also on-call for work. Wahoo is continually updating the Smartphone app and the Elemnt with useful features. It now has turn-by-turn directions, as well as on-screen mapping features. It's hard to beat the price / feature combo of this unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Clever piece of kit this. I've had Garmins up until now and always found them infuriating to set up, choosing bikes, assigning sensors and setting page data. No problems with the Elemnt. No need to worry about the bike and sensors, load all the sensors you like and Elemnt works it out. With page data, choose the data that is important to you, put them in order and then simply zoom in or out, it is simple genius! Then there is the app, forget endlessly scrolling through using the buttons to set a Garmin, everything seems accessible through the app. My dog could work an Elemnt, it seems intuitive.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Below Expectations I like the readability of the screen and the LED indicators on the top and the side. Overall I have been happy with this computer but my main reason for buying it was for Strava Live Segments. I've had a few experiences where I went all out and was encouraged when I looked down at my computer to see I was 15 seconds ahead of my PR. Today I thought I earned a KOM. I was on cloud 9 until I saw what was actually uploaded to Strava 8 seconds behind my PR. I looked on their website and saw that their algorithm is different than Strava so this is to be expected. Well what's the point of Strava Live segments then? I'll be taking it back and I'll try a Garmin.
