Rated 5 out of 5 by from hands down best multipitch trad climbing pack I've had this for an entire season now and I wish I bought it sooner; it would have made many climbs easier. This is not a crag pack that you put your gear into. This is for your water bladder, food, rain jacket, med kit, toilet paper, and your approach shoes (unless u wear them on harness like me). Bag is easily clipped in at each belay and quickly accessible with a single hand. Super durable. Small and low profile so doesn't get in the way. First climb was 10 pitches on yosemite middle cathedral east Buttress 10a--loved it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great except for hose port Over it's really nice. Seems durable, it's very comfortable, nice rope strap, and there are ample attachment points to rig bungee cord to hold a jacket or whatever. Two things I don't like: 1 - The buckles use to attach the hip belt to the pack are too easy to release. 2 - there's a small hole at the top of the back to route a water-bladder hose from the pack to the shoulder strap. However, it's way too small for the valve on an MSR bladder. I suspect that only a detachable camel back tube would fit.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Coming up short This is a great bag for a day hike or if your climbing route is one pitch with a very short approach. The clasp synching the top is cumbersome, so getting in/out of the bag is not a quick feat. The rope does hang perfectly centered over the top; however, with just the thin strap to hold it in place it slides around (nearly out once) on an approach that involved scrambling. It is only big enough for a small trad rack so one or two pitches of easy climbing that does not involve even marginally larger pieces/numbers of hardware; you definitely have to think about where you are climbing if you're bringing this beauty; that includes wearing your harness out, with shoes on it, helmer strapped on. I had to switch bags from Saturday to Sunday. If it were a 20L bag it would be infinitely better. Definitely going to keep it, but it won't be my go to crag bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from awesome pack! Perfect size for water, snacks, approach shoes, and extra layer. The pack certainly does its job and I hardly even feel it when I'm wearing it. Great quality and I would absolutely recommend it for multipitch climbs or day hikes. Just bought this pack recently and after using it a couple times bought another for my girlfriend, too. Good job on this one, Patagonia.
