This unit is compatible with my Osprey Tempest 20 daysack. I'm pleased to say that it is working very well. My previous attempts at using other, less expensive brands were dismal. This unit is made of rugged plastic. The slide top makes for easy filling. The internal baffle really helps to make loading of the filled bag into the daysack much easier. My only surprise was that when the water gets down to the last 1/2 liter, I can hear the water sloshing around. But then too, it's an audible warning system that I need to get water or quickly start rationing!

Leaked!!!

Have the older version 2.5L, love it and have never had a problem. Thought I'd get this great new lightweight 1.5L for my daypack. Leaked right away. Seems to be coming from under the red flap/hood. Sending it back and hoping to find a different 1.5L.

Perfect for the Poco kid hauling backpack

I love the construction on every component of this bladder system. My use case is in a kid hauler, the Poco, which is limited to 1.5L and preferably slim. Since it is difficult to fill by the top once installed, I planned to make do with the quick connect somehow. So I also purchased a Sawyer QC adapter kit with 28mm adapter (common carbonated beverage screw top, or Amazon rollable canteens like Platypus). One change that would make this bladder perfect is by switching the shorter and longer tubing pieces, so the quick connect is further out, closer to the mouthpiece, and more accessible instead of being buried behind your shoulders.

Great on trails running and gravel bike riding!

Good hydration pack overall. I’ve read other people having leaking problems after several months, but my lasted 6 years. I’m replacing the reservoir only, as the rest of the bag is still in great condition. The leak that I found was on the connecting spout on the front bottom of the reservoir. Looks like it got worn and cracked. The rest of the bag is still good.

Some design flaws

The hydration pack is not well designed. Your stuck with whatever shoulder the tube goes over. the way the Hydration pack is designed makes it difficult to move the tube to the other side if you prefer a different shoulder. The mid way tube detachment is unnecessary and just makes its use difficult. The red handle thing makes it so you can't turn the bladder inside out to wash and dry, and is pointless. Can't remove the nipple to wash. The magnetic clip moves on you so you have to constantly adjust its position. A disappointment overall. Only keeping it since I can deal with the short comings and other hydration bladders have similar flaws.

Water Bladder Minus the little hassles

This design provides a great collection of the little things that are annoying about water bladders. - it's thin profile doesn't devour the interior of your pack, making the volume more useable. - the detachable hose makes it easy to refill without having to rethread the hose again. - the magnetic keeper does a great job keeping the hose from swinging around or getting wrapped up in your shoulder straps - the material of the bladder slides against the pack nylon easily and doesn't stick to itself. 5 stars

Amazing reservoir

I love this product. I have taken it on long and short hikes in hot Arizona summers and east coast winters. I have not experienced a single issue, no leaks, no breaking pieces. I have taken it apart numerous times for cleaning and storage and it has all reassembled easily and continues to work perfectly. It’s fairly easy to clean and disassemble. I plan to get another one in a larger size for longer hikes because this has worked out so well. I highly recommend this product.

Hose disconnects too easily

I have the 2.5L and it has worked great for multiple years. I bought this 1.5L to go with a trail running pack and the hose popped off 10x before and during the first hike I did with a simple twist. Something was defective about the design because it just wouldn't "click" in place. I went into REI and swapped it out but one of the other ones I tried also had this disconnecting issue. I'm surprised more people haven't complained about this disconnecting problem. I found one that works and have had no issues after a few uses of it.

Hose doesn't stay connected

Should have read more of the reviews. The quick disconnect on the hose is a nice idea, but is built so poorly that any bending of the tube near it will cause it to diconnect. Considering just duct taping it together, otherwise it will be next to unusable.

There are better bladders out there

This new bladder from Osprey is not all what it's cracked up to be. It is very difficult to clean and dry due to the two baffles that are molded into the bladder and the fact that the molded output keeps folding onto the bladder. You also cannot purchase the replacement bite valves yet, so if you happen to damage yours......good luck. I much prefer the SOURCE line of water bladders for ease of use and cleaning.
