Very Well Designed and Durable Hydration Pack
This is the best hydration pack I've used. The fit puts the bulk of the pack low on your back, which is perfect for mountainbiking, where you don't want extra weight up high on your body. This pack keeps the weight low for a better center of gravity and more stable riding! It seems like it holds more than it's size would suggest. The 100 oz. bladder is included and has a nice clip to keep it from swinging way from the pack, but doesn't interfere with access when you need a drink. The hip belt pockets are perfect for a snack and gear is stowed and organized nicely inside the main compartment, which includes a pocket for a mini pump, as well as a fold up tool carrier that's included. Love the way this thing rides and packs, after 6 months and 1500 miles of trail it is still going strong, too.
Enduro / Gravity riders dream pack!!!
This is the perfect pack for any aggressive gravity rider!!! Can't wait till BME to really run this pack through it paces. This pack is perfect for super step technical riding yet super compatible for long days in the saddle!!! I strongly recommend this pack if you're in the market for a 100oz hydration pack!!!
Good design to get the weight lower on your back
I've been waiting for Camelbak to build a pack like this. I don't like how my M.U.L.E. rides up when going down hill or through technical terrain. But this pack feels much better. It's listed as having a slightly larger carrying capacity but it sure doesn't pack like it (I'd buy a larger Camelbak with the same reservoir for longer back country rides if available). It seems a bit limited when carrying extra clothes/water compared to my M.U.L.E. The reservoir compression straps are easy to use but a pain to release after the ride (hard to get too). I would have liked to see a little bit larger zipper on the reservoir pocket but only time will tell with it's reliability. Overall Camelbak has built a great pack for those of us who don't like having our packs move around much when riding. If it were 25% bigger it would be perfect.
Stable
Bought this for a smaller day hiker that I can use to mountain bike. I know the stated purpose is biking but this worked extremely well for running, well, not running, jogging is more what I do. Simple adjustments and the thing stayed glued to my back, really like the way they have the bladder flared at the bottom to keep the weight down low.
All around GREAT pack for the buck
This is a great all around pack for the buck. Hydration system is excellent, and I've never seen so many well placed pockets is such a small space
Great day pack with good amount of space
I bought this a few weeks ago and have been very impressed with it. The 3 liter container is more than enough water for me and easily enough water for two people for a couple hour trip. I love the space of the day pack too where you can put a sack lunch and sunscreen as well as one or two more items. The straps and clips make it easy to attach a hammock to carry as well! Also the straps for your body are highly adjustable and feel comfortable. Love this product!
Best Pack Yet
I've ridden with this pack for a bit over a month now and it's been great! I have taken it on several-hour rides in the high desert, and I've taken it downhill mountain biking. The pack is smaller than I'd prefer, but it helps me really pay attention to what I bring; it's still large enough for everything I really need though. The pack has a very durable construction and I expect it will last for many years. I have only crashed in it once, and even after going over the bars the pack had not a mark on it. The magnetic hose clip takes much getting used to, but it's a great idea. It does get dirty and can be a bit difficult to use. The bladder is a good size for a 3-4 hour ride. The pack has surprisingly good ventilation. Even riding in 90 degree weather for several hours, I had very minimal sweat where the pack rested. One of the main reasons I bought the pack was because of where it sits; the "low-rider" style. I haven't noticed the low center of gravity making me much faster, but it has helped my back pain on long rides/climbs. It gives just the support I need to help with lower back pain. The other main reason I bought the pack was for stability. Once adjusted correctly, the pack is unnoticeable when riding and stays very stable. The low-sitting, stable pack is exactly what I needed, and the camelbak skyline 10 LR fits the bill perfectly!
Lower center of gravity
Bought this to replace my old rogue hydration pack. The crux bladder sits closer to your hips which lowers your center of gravity. Perfect for all day mountain biking. Storage is enough for a day and the hip straps makes it easy to accces common stuffs. The backpack is secure when properly tightened. Awesome pack for biking and hiking!
A great comfortable backpack for writing
A great comfortable backpack for writing. I'm 54 years old, 6'2", 210 pounds and ride a mountain bike. The CamelBak Skyline 10 LR Hydration Pack is extremely comfortable while riding on the trails, I sometimes forget that it's even on my back.
Good so far!
I bought this recently for a hike we were going on, however the normal use will be mountain biking. as some reviews have mentioned its not super spacious, but i like the form and fit. I look forward to taking it on some epic rides this season.
