The end of an era, the Vaha pant you know & love is gone.
Never thought I’d say this: the Vaha pant is garbage. I’ve worn Vaha’s exclusively for over 12 years. They skateboard like a dream. Girls love them. That’s now over. Range of motion, gone. Stretch waistband, gone. Fabric quality, comfort, all gone. These are a fraction of what they used to be. Prana team: read these reviews. Alllll these repeat customers, gone. I’ve resorted to getting old used ones, sometimes paying more than the cost of the new pants. That’s how bad they are. I will not be purchasing any prana clothing until they fix their Vaha pants & Mojo shorts.
KEEP MAKING THE VAHA!!
Im giving this a 5 star review because I have lived in Vaha pants for nearly a decade and I just want Prana to keep making them. Is this version not as good as the previous version. Yes. Are they still more comfortable than most any other pant I have been able to find - especially with the introduction of the ridiculous cuffed leg on nearly everything (gross) - YES. So - whatever creative outlet some designer needs to tinker with a perfect product - go for it - just keep making them. Thank you.
Updated version is a downgrade in comfort.
The fit is the usual Prana uncertainty and broad QA tolerances, but fits similarly to the old Vaha products. Unfortunately, it’s nowhere near as comfortable as the previous versions. They’ve removed the stretch aspect of the fabric, and the fabric is slightly more dense which results in a noticeable reduction in range of movement. Glad that I have multiple pairs of the prior versions, because I’m not buying another pair until they make them with stretch fabric again.
Great company, bit long.
As always, very pleased with how Prana shows up in the World. Super engaged in sustainability (packaging), judicious in their overall offerings (again sustainable) and overalll, just a good company. As others may have noted, a bit longer than expected…I picked the 30 in hopes they would fit like the model…no go, they are in fact longer. Otherwise, the fit is good thought the waist. I have used these as travel pants (flights) and they are very comfortable.
Downhill Fast
I had a pair of these that I loved. I wore them everywhere. They were perfect! When they finally wore out, I decided to replace them with the exact same pants. When the new ones came, they were like bad fake copies or something. What happened? Everything seems cheaply done and the fit is like someone who had never sewn anything in their life tried to make some pants based on their imagination rather than a pattern or some measurements.
NOT like the original Vaha pants- Don't make yourself sad buying these
PLEASE bring back the comfy Vaha Straight pants in beautiful colors! I LIVE in mine! All my old pairs are worn out and thread-bare... I would buy a bunch of the old line of pants if I could, and I have searched the web to find any... MOST people dislike these new terrible pants. I am continuing to NOT buy ANY prana products until the Vaha Straight pant returns. Their decision to replace a classic with a dud just makes no sense...
Mojo style waistband please! Kudos on sustainability!
Lyocell is much better for the environment than polyester, but the drape is inferior and many have noted. Maybe a higher percentage of hemp and lower Lyocell would work better? Like something closer to 70/30? Also please make a version with a Mojo style waistband with a little more taper and you would have the ultimate sustainable climbing pant and shorts. The Vaha waistband is too bulky to fit comfortably under a harness.
Like them a lot
I’m a new customer to Prana and purchased these and two other pants along with some hoodies. These pants are comfortable as heck! I also appreciate the range of waist cuts and lengths available. Reading some the reviews I’m wondering if I missed out on the previous comfortable pants? Also there was a comment about more colors should be available that I can get on board with. Like white, natural, and other lighter colors.
If it ain't broke don't fix it
"We've taken your favorite Vaha pant and made them even more comfortable." With respect, you haven't. i guess if you have a body like the model, probably so....looks more like a LuLu ad than Prana. The pant (was) perfect for teaching yoga, travelling and just to wear for the day....now I'm not so sure. Waist and hip fit will take some getting used to. Color selection too....Please Prana gives us our best loved pant back
Bring back the OG pants!
5 stars not for this version of the pants, but for the older version. The ones that came in beautiful colors instead of just 10 shades of grey. The ones that were wider and good for yoga. (Could use a tad more stretch) These were the best pants ever! I used them for travel, yoga and lifestyle. Bought every color that came out. Why these are not being given the right attention by your design team is beyond me.
