I wanted to love them so bad! The heel was not secure enough even when sizing down and a insole was needed to even get close to a safe feeling. I have an old fracture of my right ankle so I really need to feel that support in a higher boot. This was not for me and I went with a pair of oboz instead. Very stylish and breathable otherwise, maybe in another life.
The Targhee line is my favorite. They're comfortable, they look great on, and they endure all kinds of weather and activitities. I bought this specific pair because the color seemed a good choice for Spring. I also have another pair in a different color and 2 pairs of the Targhee shoes.
After wearing 8.5 keen boots for over 20 years (which my old ones still fit) the last keen shoe and boot I have ordered were way too large. I am returning these and going down a size, as I did with the shoes I just ordered.
